Mountain Lions are dangerous critters - VERY.

But the Bambi crowd in the east, like the Bambi crowd in California and Colorado, will oppose hunting them even if they start running off with their children.

Of course. Here in Wisconsin the DNR wackos won’t even admit they’re dangerous. Too bad DNR asshats aren’t their favorite food.

Cf. Wheaton taking aim to reduce coyote population from today's Daily Herald.

Traditionally, Wheaton and other municipalities have used public awareness campaigns to educate residents on how to coexist with coyotes. The biggest piece of advice has been to never feed or get close to the animals.

But Wheaton officials say the number of coyotes has risen significantly. And despite efforts to educate the public, the coyote problem has reached "a nuisance level" in the city.

Note they plan to "capture and euthanize" them. Even so, the comments run heavily in favor of the coyotes. From "Animal Lover" - "Wheaton officials - How about if we start with you first??"

Zulu, you hit the nail right on the head. If you see a mountain lion coming after you while you’re in the 9th Circuit’s jurisdiction, then you’re better off kissing your behind goodbye.
