Good evening!
Another week, another Dem disaster in the making...this time it's Gov. Paterson of NY, who's reported to be in scandal mode free fall. However IF he should resign, that would probably be a slight plus for his party...moving him out of the picture.
Another storm will take aim at the Mid-Atlantic area this week, dropping more inches, not feet, probably of snow on the region this time.
Please take care. In the future please use...
Good morning and thank you.
Sorry to hear about your fall.
“The lower part of my spine is crooked.
But no fracture. Bent but not broken.”
Bent, not broken? What kind of diagnosis is that?
I think this could start a trend! I just took a pic of my and with palin 2012 and plan on posting it on my facebook. Just imagine millions of people waving their palms around at every opportunity with Palin 2012!
Jemian, please take care!
So...Iran....what's going on there?
Thanks for the links, Molly.
I especially like the CO2 article.
I hope you are resting.
I finally got to sleep during the night by watching a “Shopping Network” They were selling jewelry. I’d never watched that stuff before.
First, I’m glad it wasn’t more serious and that nothing is broken.
Second, do you mind me gently scolding you a bit and everybody else who is tempted to use furniture as ladders? This sort of thing happens so often, a friend of mine broke her wrist last summer doing exactly the same thing. (I scolded her too, after giving her my love and sympathy.
Which is what I’m giving you now ((((Jemian))))
:^)
(Use a step ladder next time, please!!)
My post 216 was a step ladder, too. Now it’s a red x.
Mr. Prairie occasionally will use a chair for a ladder and if I catch him, I fuss at him.
I meant to add that ladders aren’t 100% safe either, especially when one has perhaps been imbibing before climbing on it and subsequently mis-stepped coming off of it and broke their leg badly as man here at the park did last year.
Ummm, I’m guilty of that also. We now have a ladder in the kitchen. I have NO excuse.
Shoulder pads, helmet, knee pads. I could use all of them. But I need a gluteous maximus pads, too. I thought I had enough, but (or is that “butt”) apparently not.
Yes, I promise I’ll use a step ladder in the future.
Unless, ....
You are all right. It was an avoidable accident. Step-ladders are created for just such a thing.
It is now 0500 and I’ve been awake for an hour.
I’m not quite sure. Perhaps it is an old injury to my tailbone that didn’t quite heal correctly. I have no x-rays from previous times with which to compare.
I do know that the meds don’t take away all the pains. I’m also discovering a few new ones.
Prairie, I meant to ping you earlier. You are exactly right about the step-ladder.
Kassie, it is wonderful to see you here. I’ve been thinking of you quite a bit this week.
The power just went out. But I’m on 3G and still am online. Cool!
Good. I’m happy that you are taking it easy.
Not good that the power went off. Good that you are online.
It turns out the power was on. Someone (one of the caregivers) had turned the AC on when I returned, but turned it on the timer. HA! Our first clue at night that the power is off is the AC going off. When we got up we discovered the power was really on.
