Good Morning and a Blessed Sunday to you all here at Amy’s!
Lovely graphic to start our day.

My prayers for all of you who live in the East where the Blizzard has snowed you under.

Polly

Good Sunday Morning

Thank you, polly..You have me clicking on Eagle sites....saw
the Norfolk mom lay an egg yesterday...
Two nests on the east coast were solid white....The storms
were terrible.

LOL... Meg, Eagle watching is really taking off and becoming a popular hobby!

Norfolk is the most successful nest this year. NCTC is so snowed under they think that the eggs/egg? she laid so far could be lost.

Our westcoast cams ( Two Harbors) are a mess due to our rains, and Sidney BC is always behind in laying their eggs. There's my update!lol

I did find that this last week eagle watching kept me at the computer far too much and the gentle, loving Voice of God spoke softly about putting Him first.

We definitely are " prone to wander" as the hymn writer said.

Distracted
Martha was distracted with much serving. —Luke 10:40

The university where I teach as an adjunct professor provides laptop computers for its students. While this can be an aid to the students in many ways, I have discovered one way it hinders learning: The laptops can become a distraction during class.

Because the students take notes on their laptops, they have them open on their desks during class. The problem is that they find texting their friends, visiting Facebook, or checking things on the Internet more interesting than my lectures.

A laptop loses value in the learning environment if it becomes a distraction—even if what the students are doing is positive.

Good things can do that. Things that have value can draw our attention away from what we should be paying attention to. This was true for Martha. Luke 10:40 says she was “distracted with much serving,” which took her away from spending time with Jesus. In the same way, a good hobby can have value in and of itself. But if it distracts you from your family responsibilities or relationship with God, some changes are needed.

Are life’s good options distracting you from what your primary priorities should be? Return, as Jesus told Martha, to what “is needed.”

A Prayer: Help me, Lord, to make and to keep right priorities. To put You and time with You first. Give me discernment and the willingness to obey You today. Amen.

We were created to glorify God.

Hi Polly, thank you so much! No, luckily we didn’t get the snow we heard was coming. Now they tell us to expect snow on Tuesday....I will try to wish it away! Its kinda cold here this morning but now those terrible low’s of 10 and under..we are around 28 this morning.

Happy Eagle Watching! I may watch when my little hummingbird flies....it has had a rough time but doing better now.

Brrrrrrr Jaycee! Looking out my window here at 6:51am and the temp reads 50! Guess that would feel good to you right now, but honestly my arthritic knees are far too cold with even 50!

Pheobe is doing good. Bird cams are fun. We have hummingbird nests right out our windows and feed them daily. Of course we cannot see detailed like that great Orange County nest!

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!

Amazing Grace

by John Newton

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found;
Was blind, but now I see.
.
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, .
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
.
Through many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.
.
The Lord has promised good to me,
His Word my hope secures;
He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
.
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, Who called me here below,
Will be forever mine.
.
When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’d first begun.
