Salute to those fallen HEROES... two.

Another nephew deployed to Afghanistan last month. One more deploys in August.

Just watched/listened Trace Adkins and the Glee Club and got goose bumps. What an awesome soldier in the wheel chair. Just wants to make one cry and yet be so proud of his sacrifice, along with soooooo many others! I truly am proud to be an American! Thank you for sharing!

Yes, those songs speak to our hearts. Its hard to express the love we feel for our Military and when I look into those young (mostly)faces of the fallen, it makes my heart truly ache.

Thanks tiapam, glad you enjoyed!

I had so many interruptions this morning that I finally quit trying to reply to everyone.

Our garage door would not open ... hubby had to use his p/u to take Marissa to school. P/Us are not safe for children but we had no choice.

My BIL came by and the three of us finally got the door open .... now we will leave the car in the driveway. :) When Jr comes this weekend, we will have him check out the door.

Then between phone calls, laundry and water delivery, my morning was gone. I washed 3 loads of laundry this morning and I will try to get one more before time for my nap. LOL

We are having turkey leftovers from Christmas. I froze almost half a turkey in chicken broth. I think we can have turkey dinner, but if not, we will have hot turkey sandwiches.

I’m so impressed with your eagle cam. I came across this a few minutes ago and thought you all might enjoy as much as I did.
You’ll probably need kleenex, that is if you haven’t seen this already!

I totally agree! It gets to the point where you don’t know what to say, at least for me, because they are gone and it just doesn’t seem right. It just doesn’t seem right that there has to be wars, fighting, killing.

” It just doesn’t seem right that there has to be wars, fighting, killing.”

As long as tyrant seek power over mankind, there will be war.

what is sad that these heroes die and they do so for a people that don’t hear of their heroism because of a press that hates them and an administration that despises them.

Charlie’s Walk On The Moon
Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. —Genesis 5:24
The documentary In the Shadow of the Moon includes the story of Charlie Duke, one of the Apollo 16 astronauts launched to the moon in 1972. While the command ship orbited the moon, Duke and another astronaut landed the lunar module Orion on the moon’s surface. After 3 days of running experiments and collecting lunar rocks, the Apollo 16 crew safely returned to earth.

Later, Charlie had a spiritual transformation. He said it began when his friend invited him to a Bible study. After the meeting, Charlie prayed to Christ, “I give You my life, and if You’re real come into my life.” He then experienced an indescribable peace. It was so profound that he began to share his story with others. Charlie told them, “My walk on the moon lasted 3 days and it was a great adventure, but my walk with God lasts forever.”

The Bible tells us of another man who walked with God. “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him” (Gen. 5:24). His spiritual walk with God was so close that God took him directly into eternity (see Heb. 11:5).

We can learn a lesson from Charlie and Enoch. For believers, no matter where our journey leads, our walk with God will last for eternity!

Let me walk with You, dear Savior,
Side by side and hand in hand;
Keep me clean and pure and faithful
Till I reach the heavenly land. —Hess

Keep eternity’s goal in sight by walking daily in God’s light.

Good Morning Mayor...I couldn't help but sing this hymn after reading today's Devotional...

O Master, let me walk with Thee, In lowly paths of service free; Tell me Thy secret; help me bear The strain of toil, the fret of care.

Polly

Johnn, I loved your words in your last post. Amen! So many have died and are still dying to keep us free. But this President never mentions our military and he absolutely cannot say terror or terrorist! How he fooled the people he fooled, I will never understand. I was NEVER fooled by him.

"what is sad that these heroes die and they do so for a people that don’t hear of their heroism because of a press that hates them and an administration that despises them."

Your words above explains it all. The Press got him elected and are still his 'cheerleaders'.

A beautiful devotion today for sure!

“My walk on the moon lasted 3 days and it was a great adventure, but my walk with God lasts forever.”

What wonderful words from Charlie Duke....says everything! Thank you, Rus!
