“THE NEXT BIG THING”

SNIPPET: “The rankings were calculated based on how each company scored in the following components: the track record of success for the venture-capital investors who sit on the company’s board (Board Ranking); the amount of capital raised by the company over the last three years, in comparison to its peers (Total Equity Ranking); the track record of success for the company’s founders and chief executive (Executive Ranking); and the recent growth in the value of the company (Valuation Ranking). As a last component, Dow Jones venture-capital reporters and editors also reviewed and ranked the companies. Overall rank is based on a weighted combination of all five components .

What you're describing is part of my job, and I work in a manufacturing facility. This book (get a used copy cheap) will give you a better understanding of what it's all about, and an APICS certification will validate your knowledge, if you want to spend the time and money to achieve that.

You'll probably want to read the book twice to really get a feel for it. Someone once said to me that "Orlicky took a simple concept and made it complicated."

Don’t forget LinkedIn

That’s a job site? I’ve been receiving emails from them and thought it was some kind of marketing ploy. Never read it but know I didn’t sign up to receive their emails. I’ll have to remove them from my ‘blocked’ list now. Can you explain a little more how this works?

Thx

If anyone in the Spartanburg S.C area is looking for a job and may be interested or experienced in textiles freepmail me and I'll give you the details.

Our business is doing pretty good and they've recently started hiring through a temp service.

I know it doesn't sound that great but it's work and a paycheck.
