I was doing really well, but then I got my age wrong. :-)

12 out of 12. Wonder what question is hanging up people who are getting 11 out of 12? Probably one of the numeric ones, I guess.

The worst question for correct answers is the senate committee question. Makes sense, unless you’ve been following the health care bill. Would have been harder if they had listed senators who were heads of other committees involved in health care.

Missed the troop number question, but still smarter than the average bear. (No doubt that reference will sail over the heads of most Freepers, who never met Yogi).

The hard part of acing this quiz is knowing what wrong answers to put in to match the answer that is being sought. One example. Is unemployment measured by U3 or U6? I feel U6 is a more appropriate measure, but I knew they wanted the U3.

YOu might be right somewhat, but the cost per person in the U.S is $2337 per person in the U.S, and the next highest country is $837. That’s a lot of money to make up for with lawyers and government.

We spend the most, because we have the most money. We are rich. My guess is we spend more money on just about EVERYTHING than the rest of the world, on a per-person basis.

OOPS, I got those numbers wrong.

U.S was $4271, the next highest was the Swiss, at $3857, and then Norway at $3182 (still a major drop-off to just the 3rd country).

I was looking at the quintile numbers.

I guess your estimates are correct...don’t know....I just refused to concede to the goddam assumption and push-questioning intent of this question....so, okay, I’m a stubborn SOB......you also have to realize that there’s a buttload of people that aren’t contributing to the ‘per/person’ cost number....if they were, I’d hazard to guess that number would decrease.

I got all 12 right, but am completely stunned at the ‘publics’ ratings!

Is it any wonder we are where we are?
