It’s fitting that John Kerry, hobbled on crutches (did he get another purple heart?), leads “Marsha” Coakley’s losing entourage to the stage.

I’ll take FR lag with a Brown win while enjoying AI with my friends any day!!!!
OK, the Brown win is a bonus — I’ll take any night enjoying AI with my friends, even with a lag! :)

One Chicago Idol Contestant Loses Golden Ticket
Updated: Tuesday, 19 Jan 2010, 9:06 PM CST

By Bill Zwecker, FOX Chicago News
Chicago - While Simon Cowell may have complimented the Chicago talent who auditioned for American Idol last summer, it was clear he must have been talking about quality over quantity.
While Boston is sending 31 “golden ticket” winners to Hollywood, Chicago only managed to come up with 13 worthy of getting the required minimum of three “yes” votes from Cowell, Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and guest judge Shania Twain.
On top of that, one of those Chicago winners has already been yanked!
Keith Semple, the lead singer with local band 7th Heaven, ran into an immigration problem.
While he’s in the U.S. on a legal work visa, American Idol rules dictate that any non-U.S. citizens competing must have a resident alien visa, and Keith’s paperwork might not have made it by the end of the Idol season.
Because of that, the producers very reluctantly pulled Semple from the competition, even though a number of Idol sources say he had a good chance to make it very far, possibly to the top five, if not all the way.
Fortunately, things are going well for 7th Heaven and Semple.
If you want to see them live, they’ll be performing at John Barleycorn in Schaumberg Friday.
