I’m ready to send the entire show to the box....what a drag. It’s in a tailspin, IMO.
Do they want her to sound like a 12 year old?
It would be OK if it were just the pomp, but it’s the pomp, a puff, and a lower poof in the back and then a pony tail. It’s too busy.
Rompers! I forgot about them. I think I wore them when I was eight.
Simon just dissed Ed McMahon.
17 yr old singing an Aretha song talking about a Chain of Fools and she is trying to dress like a hooker...yeah...that’ll work (eye roll)
Did casey sing yet? or Lee? I missed the beginning
I missed it, too.
Simon just nailed it: Take advice from me, ignore the other fools on this panel.
Casey has gone.
Casey yes, Lee no.
Was Casey bad?
oh man..ellen’s face during that exchange from the side was not happy looking
Casey yes — did pretty well. He’ll be through for sure.
Lee, I don’t think so (up next).
No Casey did really well.
Casey did well.....and considering the rest of them thusfar tonight, he did GREAT!
Something with duct tape on the stockings.
Usher: She can potentially do very well.
Katie's song is Aretha Franklin's classic "Chain of Fools". Another Wonder Bread moment. But it has much more energy than Tim Urban's song. Her voice *almost* fits the song too.
Randy: Couple things. One of the best vocal performances of the night. Showed you have the pipes. Started a little rough. Small moments, be nice to have one big moment.
Ellen: You have a Snookie Poof going. Wish the song had been a little more current.
Kara: Katie, found where you belong. R&B Pop. You gotta go back to making it young and commercial.
Simon: I thought it was pretty, pretty good. Robotic. I personally wouldn't have taken on that song. [compares it to a Star Search performance] I think the advice Kara is giving you is wrong. I don't think you are that kind of artist.
