Season 8 Premiers on SUNDAY NIGHT, January 17 with a TWO hour opening episode at 9 Eastern.
On Monday night we are treated to ANOTHER two hour episode again starting at 9 Eastern.
Hard to tell which way this episode will swing...back to the tough as nails UN-PC style or will we get more handwringing and Islamo-Gaia Love like last year?
Here's a little feature from the 24 website
http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=twentyfour&ep=1256696811731
This season starts off in NYC with Jack trying to establish a 'normal' life with his daughter. But...some stuff goes down at the UN and "that's when the day starts to go wrong" as Jack puts it...
Thanks GRRRRR
glad to see we are warming up for Jack and Renee
she is ONE HOT Hottie
LOL
yer both on THE list...
Thanks for the reminder!
24 bump!
slobering....
Keep me too!
I still haven’t seen the last four episodes of LAST season! I need to get the last disc from Netflix.
Cool, more 24...
But I am still a little peeved at Kiefer for saying last year that “it was time for a black President...”
Establish the perimeters, get your drinks ready, dammit, dammit, dammit!
Oh, I saw the poor lesbian President got dumped by her girlfriend this year.
At least Jack is still allowed to waterboard.
I hope they do better with NYC’s geography then they did with DC’s.
No, it is not too early for a live thread.
I didn’t get hooked on 24 until (I think) the fourth season. I just finished watching Season 1 on DVD and it is neat to watch 2 or 3 episodes at once. This is also dangerous and sometimes I watch more ....
Season 1 was actually pretty corny but I still enjoyed it. the whole season involved wife/daughter getting kidnapped, escaping, getting kidnapped again, etc.
I did not suspect Nina until she revealed herself. I mean I had a flicker of suspicion but ...
I ordered seasons 2 and 3 and should have them tomorrow. That should hold me until the 17th.
Yes finally...we are looking forward to Jack doing his thing...and no more phoney PC stuff please. One more weak season and we are off the Bauer fan list.
And one more thing: I hope that the garofalo character is off the show. People around here would not watch 24 with her face on the screen.
Oh, darnit!
I thought it said NEXT Monday~!! Got all excited.
I was laying awake last night trying to remember if Tony died (again) last season. Finally remembered him being hauled off to Gitmo at the end. Wonder if he’ll be back?
But, I DO understand President Logan’s coming back this year. That means more Aaron!
Oh well, I can wait til the 17th to get my Jack fix.
Can’t wait!
[Keep me on the list!]
My very thought.
First thought, anyway. Second thought was “Wait... did I miss something?”
Thanks for the ping. I didn’t even know about tonight’s episode. See you all there! Password is Spork Weasel. :^)
Whoops! Not tonight. Oh well, see you when it’s actually on. Password still applies.
As you prepare to embark on your eighth action-packed day, TVGuide.com thought it wise after looking into your future (i.e. the first four episodes of 24's Season 8) to pass on a little advice.
1. Remember to cherish your friends: Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) has put her job and sometimes her life on the line for you. Though you'd love to hightail it back to Los Angeles, there are more pressing matters in New York.
First Look: 24's Jack Bauer heads to New York
2. Remember that New York is a world capital: with world issues. These 24 hours will be unlike anything you've seen before. The threat is on a much bigger level, involving a nuclear superpower in one of the most volatile places in the world.
3. Remember that you're an oldie: Sorry, Jack, but this is a new CTU and not everyone knows you like we do. You may not be able to get away with the same tomfoolery you used to. Tread lightly.
4. Remember that no one can be trusted: ...

Please keep me on the Ping List....
This has been such a horrific year, I can’t wait for ‘24”!!
thanks for running the thread!
