SISZYD32.exe has possibly killed my FR computer.
Yesterday it hit suddenly despite the anti-virus and other utilities I run to protect against such stuff.
The victim computer is one I only use for FR and the sites it cites. That is the only clue I have to offer as to where it came from. I run several computers off a network and my FR computer is the only victim.
This is the worst I have ever encountered and a search for it shows that it is very dangerous and it showed up only about a week ago (AFAICT).
From years of experience I knew what to do yet the virus blocked every action, not even allowing startup in safe mode.
MalwarBytes, Spyware Doctor, SpyHunter and another one or two I tried to run were able to find it yet were blocked and defeated by siszyd32.exe.
This is day 2 and the computer boots with a black screen.
WARNING! Update all your protection software including registry cleaner, et al.
HELP! Can anybody help me get my FR black screen computer back?
I just got a new 64-bit windows 7 machine and it will not install the device drives for my hardware I am trying to program... grrrrrrrrr
and I got blue screen of death twice so far- before running windows update - if any improvements I will post
anyone else have win7 experience stories or fixes?
What to you mean by ‘active drive?’
Try spybot search and destroy.

It seems to catch more than some other programs.
I’m an IT professional with 23 years experience and I still get viruses even though my computer is protected with anti virus and anti spyware software.
The secret is to be fully backed up, I use carbonite.
are you logged in?
Computer virus writers should be shot between the eyes.
The drive from which windows is running.
You do realize that is an irritating non-help response?
can you boot to dos? on that website I posted there’s a command in DOS you can use to remove it from the registry.
A few weeks back two of our home laptops were hit by Anti-Virus System Pro, or some such malware. The av software we had did not catch it. Evertime we would try to run Norton, or go to a website on the pc to download the repair for this, we would be given error messages that this site could not be found, or that process could not be run. It got to the point we couldn’t connect to the internet.
What I had to do first was...as soon as the pc booted up, I had to ctrl alt del to get to the task manager, and then END the processes that were launching this bullshiite virus. Once I did this, I was able to copy (via thumb drive), the fix. Which really didn’t work, I still had to go into the registry and delete a bunch of files related to this virus.
Forced to give birth to chollo cactus.
At least The Amish Virus is polite!
: )
That’s my solution, too — toss it out the window. I got the Blue Screen of Death last week and have been suffering withdrawals/ I mean, rearranging my pathetic life, ever since.
Get a Mac, run VMWare Fusion to create a windows virtual machine, and use the snapshot feature often.
That way, when a virus gets to windows (and it will), you just restore to the virtual snapsot and keep on truckin’
I guess the best anyone can do is to have or in future get for $50.00 a year.
Carbonite is just about flawless. Just install it, launch it, and forget about it.

Do you have quick restore?
Strips down you hard drive to new
I concur with Darksheare.
I’ve done quite a lot of malware and virus repair, and sometimes that is the ONLY way to clean a drive short of re-formatting it and starting over.
You have to watch out, some of those virus removal sites are virus installation sites!
Often you anti-virus program’s website will have the best info, or zdnet.com (I think). Or if you’re unsure, search for blogs on the subject and you’ll get legitimate answers.
If you choose a removal tool you’re unfamiliar with, search “(name of the tool) Reviews”.
Slave the infected drive (or use an usb attachent to hook it up) then run Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes. The virus isn’t “active” and both of those should pick it up pretty easily.
Thanks, but it didn’t work. The confounded virus blocked it.
Virus victims should be allowed to be firing squad for the perp.
You can run Ubuntu 9.10 off a live CD.... perhaps, that’s the safest way to surf some sites. How is that non-helpful.
I like my mac without the virtual windows:)
