The headline is misleading. In the video, Beck never said that he TOLD his nephew NOT to re-enlist. What he said was...
“Until politicians don’t play politics with how to fund the war, Until we have the courage to call the Ft. Hood killer a terrorist, Until we treat the Navy SEALs with the respect the deserve, Until people like John Murtha are fired from Congress, Until our CIA members are backed up for doing what we asked them to do, I can not in good conscience encourage my nephew to re-enlist.

Beck also said that he spoke to his nephew on the phone, and said he said that he could not give him his word that this Country would stand behind him. He said “That is a decision every family has to make, every soldier has to make for themselves.”

Now that you've clarified, I'll reply. I don't know where obozo would find replacements for his “army.” He continues to crap all over the military for a reason. And he knows that there will be soldiers who will refuse to serve under him because of this. So what is obozo’s goal? To reduce the size of the military? As Rep. David Obey of Wisconsin said today, while calling for a tax aimed at the rich to pay for a troop increase in Afghanistan, the cost of the war could “destroy the other things we are trying to do. obozo’s hatred for the military and his need to fund his other, “more important” projects may well be the reasons for his actions. What is brazen is for an American boy to be led away from serving his country and then having to live with that the rest of his life.

The left has been doing that to their sons for generations and you can see how it bothers most of them when they reach their late thirties and older and realize that they can never go back and change it.

I bet that Glenn Becks regrets it, I don’t know if his reasons were medical, legal or if President Reagan was just the wrong Commander in Chief for him, but I bet that he regrets it for whatever reason now that he is older and his chance is gone.

Serving in the armed forces doesn’t automatically guarantee you that one is a patriot. I’m sorry. I’ve been there. A lot of people serve for a lot of different reasons. For many, it’s a glorified welfare-to-work program. They could give a rat’s behind about patriotism.
