After the whirlwind attack the mother squirrel springs free of the dog and rushes her baby back up into the safety of the tree.
The frustrated dog is left sitting forlornly at the base of the tree as its prey escapes into the upper branches.

Lol, that squirrel is looking forward to TURKEY!!
Hilarious 50mm, thanks for pinging.
So does one of yours what?
Likes skunk smell and eats skunk?
I feed my birds Safflower birdseed, the squirrels don’t like it and the birds love it.
He has consumed your list of rodents except the skunk and cat. He never has a scratch on him.
My son was dog-sitting for a friend. His hamster picked that night, of all nights, to escape.
Oh look! A squeaky toy!
He found a very wet lump of fur the next morning. It was alive, and somehow not badly injured.
Never tried to get out of its cage after that...
I’ve got photos of a squirrel ripping tail feathers from a Red shouldered hawk. The hawk made the mistake of landing near a squirrel nest. The hawk did not argue, it took off in a panic. A female with a baby can be a dangerous critter.
LOL! That’s one SCARY squirrel.
Do you mean the black sunflower seeds?
Now that’s a shotgun you don’t see many of, model 66 Ihaca lever action single shot.
We never saw that squirrel! :(
No, its Safflower birdseed. I get it at www.prdseed.com but I have also purchased it at Home Depot, Lowe’s and the squirrels leave it alone. The Cardinals, Doves, Chickadees and others love it. You can also google it and it will tell you more about it. I’m so glad I found it because even though I like the squirrels, they would eat all the birdseed until it was gone. Safflower birdseed, they leave alone.
I called chieftain...he was busy getting ready for one of his twin sons ( both Marines) coming home for Thanksgiving...but we will get it posted.ha.
Marine squirrel.
I currently buy mixed seed (wide range of bird types) for 2 feeders on a pole with a baffle and then I have a finch feeder. The baffle keeps the squirrels off. Unfortunately I can’t get them to stop ruining all of my pecans (take a bite while green, drop on the ground). We have a large tree and the last few years haven’t gotten a single pecan.
I will look into that seed you mentioned.
Wonderful! Anyone know how this photo was taken? Full Photoshop?
I used Photoshop to manipulate the graphics from posts 19, 22 and 25 (a few years ago), to make the Army Recruiter VS Marine Recruiter for my sons’ Marine Recruiter. He was very proud to display it in his office. The Army recruiters even got a kick out of it.
Thanks!!!
Love it!!
