LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A second attempt to sell a crypt on top of Marilyn Monroe's final resting place has failed, with not a single bid received for the burial spot in a celebrity-filled Los Angeles cemetery. Widow Elsie Poncher is trying to sell her husband's crypt to pay off the mortgage on her Beverly Hills home. On selling the crypt, Poncher had planned to move her husband, who died in 1986, to an adjacent crypt intended for her.

For millions of dollars I was expecting something more like a grand mausoleum rather than something that looks like a body storage locker in a warehouse district.
It’s to die for (somebody had to say it)

Years ago I was looking at the obits in the LA Times, and down in the corner of the page they had classified ads for crypts and plots. My favorite had the line “Good low row, next to Oscar Levant.”
I like it, a good place to bury Obama care.
Oscar Levant! THERE’S a blast from the past! One of the funniest and most talented people to ever suffer from hypochondria!
A real talent.
Loved him in American in Paris with Gene Kelly. He came across as talented but sadly self destructive.
"There is a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased that line"-Oscar Levant
