Scientology failed her, apparently.
May she find The LORD through her struggles. Will pray for her in Jesus Holy Name. I heard over the TV that she was one of the few of the Hollywood crowd that came out against Roman Polanski. I appreciate her for that.
“Oh dear ... I just clicked through to the article and saw the photograph of Kirstie. The hog thing is perfectly applicable. Wow.”
That is not nice! While I have never had that kind of weight problem, I have a friend who has struggled for years with her weight. It’s not easy especially when people judge them without not knowing the person personally. I feel really sorry for her because she’s in a business that does want everyone to be thin. I wish her the best of luck! I know how hard it is to just lose 10-20 lbs!
For some reason you think that I don't know that? It was not meant to be nice and sweet. 300 lbs. is way past having a struggle with weight. Kirstie does not have a 'hormone' problem, she has a problem with backing away from the table, as her tweets mentioned in the article clearly indicate. If she likes stuffing her face THAT much, me mentioning the hog word isn't gonna bring her world crashing down. I suspect that she knows she's a hog.
I too had a morbidly obese friend. This funny, smart, kind and loving person didn't live to see 40. Don't lecture me on 'knowing the person'. Been there, done that ... got to buy the cemetery flowers.
The 30 pound weight gain is quite obvious..but the anti-depressant effect of the Lexapro tells her not to be concerned...NOT LOL!
sw
Neurotin.......put 30 pounds on me. Lost it when a new doctor took me off it and put me on Topomax.
“Prayers for Ms. Alley. I hope she can beat back whatever demons she has,
lose the weight and start enjoying life again.”
Same here.
She might be “Hollywood”, but she’s probably someone I could actually
have a conversation with as she grew up in Wichita, KS.
And I spent plenty of weekends there visiting grandparents.
I still think she is one of the prettyiest women ever -
at any weight.
I think the reason’s why she lost her chance of playing Saavik in the Search for Spock was that she’s was addicted to cocaine.
A few years ago, while she was shilling for WW or some other weight loss outfit, I saw her downstairs in an Italian restaurant of the North End of Boston (where all the good Italian restaurants are) and she was making love to a huge bowl of pasta with much other stuff sitting all around her. This is when she was still on their payroll.
Thyroid problems my ass. She was grazing.
too old to play Saavik? She was a doll. She should have quit acting after that and lived on the laurels. Robin Curtis was a disaster as Saavik, a bit hard, if I may say. She made Nimoy’s Spock a veritable Harold Lloyd in comparison.
People who give a flyspeck what Oprah thinks are doomed anyway.
Shouldn’t she check into a skinny farm? She already has enought fat.
"recent research indicates that there is a connection between how much you weigh and the amount of shut-eye you get per night"It has to do with the O2... people I've known with sleep apnea, who got diagnosed at a sleep disorders clinic, and wound up with one of those nighttime breathing machines, watched the pounds just drop off, and their daytime (and nighttime) breathing improved as a result.
Yeah, in Khan she looked like she was cooked in that turbolift scene, nostrils looked like Hindenburg hangars.
To all cc’ed above:
LOL!
Her big scene in Woody Allen’s “Deconstructing Harry” is so intercoursing funny I start laughing just thinking about it, and it’s supposed to be a horrifying breakup of a marriage.
