My flu is almost over, and I’m doing better, but the doctor says it will take a while for the little corkscrew tail and the flat snout to go back to normal.
Nan is fine, (we’re getting cable today so she can watch her football games so she is darn near ‘sparkling’!

What was the results of your trip north... Monday's appt was for a myelogram (injecting contrast in spinal canal and a CT). Have an appt with neurosurgeon next Tues to determine if and when a procedure will take place (soon, I hope - getting tired of the pain and collapsing leg issue).

Hi Amy :)
A three day weekend. Woo Hoo. LOL
I knew Marissa was in 3rd or 4th grade. It's hard to keep up as it seems time is going so fast. It's fun and not fun, when the girls start worrying about their hair style and clothes. LOL

Sorry About The Tears
[Jesus] groaned in the spirit and was troubled. John 11:33
My friend was making a major change in her lifeshe was leaving her employer of 50 years for a new venture. She cried when she said her goodbyes. And as she did, she frequently said, Sorry about the tears.
Why do we sometimes feel the need to apologize for crying? Perhaps we look at tears as showing a weakness in our character or a vulnerability we dont like. Maybe were uncomfortable or think our tears are making others uncomfortable.
Our emotions, however, are God-given. Theyre a characteristic of our having been made in Gods image (Gen. 1:27). He grieves. In Genesis 6:6-7, He was sorrowful and angry about His peoples sin and the separation it caused between Him and them. Jesus, God in the flesh, joined His friends Mary and Martha in grieving over the loss of their brother Lazarus (John 11:28-44). He groaned in the spirit and was troubled (v.33). He wept (v.35). Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb (v.38). I doubt that He apologized.
Someday when we get to heaven, there will be no more sorrow or separation or pain, and God will wipe away every tear from our eyes (Rev. 21:4). In the meantime, the tears may flow. No apologies needed.
He knows our burdens and our crosses,
Those things that hurt, our trials and losses,
He cares for every soul that cries,
God wipes the tears from weeping eyes. Brandt

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Thank you, Polly! I am so grateful for our Military. What a wonderful bunch of men and women that are dying almost daily, which is so heart breaking. It really gets to me. And I think we all feel that way.
I am going to Red Hats luncheon today at the Red Lobster! And I even broke down and bought a ‘new’ red hat. It was just so cute, I had to have it! Haven’t bought a new one in a long time. I gotta make some fast tracks too....LOL!
