When I was a little girl, I remember my little grandmother telling my mother that "she had 'spread' up the beds", instead of making the beds!
I'm fixin to make breakfast! I don't really use that one!

That dress!! Southerners are always celebrating or re-enacting ‘something’ and I’m sure thats what the dress was all about...LOL! (I think I see some art on display in the background!)

Chi-town Shyster And His Gang
In the marbled halls of the Blanco Casa
walks a man to whom we ought say ta-ta
Gone so far left he looks in his own ear
and for whom we pay a price just too dear
Wants to be an Italian despot way he leads
I for one old vet hopes he doesn't succeed
We need a leader who thinks allies are good
has a staff not made of naughty puppet wood
Raising taxes like a backwards Robin Hood
just left of left is where he's always stood
Czar maker depletes the Constitution grand
wants to tear down this God Blessed land
Lady P and shifty Reed, Franks and Baucus too
ought wear a mask, robbing us from the D.C. zoo
Take our jobs and our dollars too, just ain't right
and a lot of us are ready for a voter's fight
We need a change from the left's imposed hell
we need real change from the usual D.C. smell
Go right young man and hold the course to win
and let's clean out the stain and liar's din
Support the troops and fight to keep the land
for which they've died taking freedom's stand
hand it not to those who hate America's light
and who'd pave it in darkness, forbid the fight
If we fail then left we go, until we fall
so stand up and answer honored duty's call
Accept nothing less then your American rights
send the left back to their holes with the light
Let not the enemy within win the final fight
let not the flag we love flutter from our sight
Now is the last chance we have for true hope
let's toss out the left and all their dopes

Two Blondes With Hammers... Lynn and Judy were doing some carpenter work on a Habitat for Humanity house. Lynn was nailing down house siding, would reach into her nail pouch, pull out a nail and either toss it over her shoulder or nail it in.
Judy, figuring this was worth looking into, asked, 'Why are you throwing those nails away?'
Lynn explained, 'When I pull a nail out of my pouch, about half of them have the head on the wrong end and I throw them away.'
Judy got completely upset and yelled, 'You moron! Those nails aren't defective! They're for the other side of the house!'

OK, that takes care of the two sides of the house, but what about the ends of the house?
Oh wait, I forgot Carter, he’ll nail it for the left, so it will be up to a conservative to finish it right!

Oh Johnn, I just love this one! Thank you so much! I may have to copy and send to a couple of email buddies! I will name the author!!
Just curious, how long did it take you to put this on paper? It says exactly what I feel constantly! Don’t understand how these people are getting by with it...never will understand.

Déjà Vu All Over Again
After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. John 21:1
Baseball legend Yogi Berra is known for his oft-repeated quips like, It aint over till its over and Its like déjà vu all over again!
I wonder if the disciples felt déjà vu when they saw Jesus standing by the shore (John 21). Discouraged and distracted by their own needs in the shadow of Peters denial and their desertion of Jesus, they had abandoned their calling to follow Jesus and returned to their previous occupationfishing.
Then, after a fruitless night of fishing, a voice from the shore called out, Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some (John 21:6). When they did, the nets were so full that they couldnt be dragged in. No doubt their minds raced back to their first encounter with Jesuswhen He showed up on the shore of their careers and, after another miraculous catch of fish, called them to leave their nets and follow Him (Luke 5:1-11).
Like the disciples, we may want to return to our own agendas when we get discouraged in our walk with Jesus. But then Jesus shows up again on the shore of our lives to extend forgiveness and to draw us back to those moments when He first called us.
Its like déjà vu all over again!
Son of the living God! Oh, call us
Once and again to follow Thee;
And give us strength, whateer befall us,
Thy true disciples still to be. Martin
Jesus calls us to follow Him and repeats His call when necessary.

Only Southerners make friends while standing in lines, ... and when we're "in line,"... we talk to everybody! My wife does that. People talk to her in line all the time. All I ever get are angry scowls and the occasional vicious snarl. They must think Im a yankee.
By the way... The reason I asked if anyone listened to Coast to Coast was because of something a guest on that show said on Tuesday night. Just wanted to know if it might be a good topic for discussion. I wasn't.

What did the guest say?
Sometimes I’m talkative; other times I’m in a hurry and just want to get thru the line. :^)
