'Thanks, you little f*****': ... restaurant bill makes clear what waiters thought of Molly, two

Most parents have experienced their young children getting restless when waiting for a meal in a restaurant.

But not many get the bill at the end of it with a message describing their offspring as a 'little f*****'.

This is what happened to parents Craig and Kimberley Cartin at a Mexican restaurant in Halifax, West Yorkshire, where they received the receipt which had 'Thankyyou littell f*****' written on it.

Visiting the brand new eaterie, called Cactus Joe's, on its opening weekend the family had already been frustrated by slow service and poor food, which caused hungry two-year-old Molly to complain. 'Unbelievably offensive': The family's receipt - the obscenity is the last item on the bill

He said: 'This was absolutely inexcusable and it won't be tolerated. The person involved has been sacked and I am planning on consulting my lawyers to see if I can take further action against her.

That's thinking--spend your money to sue someone with none.

Looking at that ticket, it seems that the offending employee was giving a farewell FU to the job as she was going out the door anyway. This didn’t have anything to do with the restaurant.

A few years ago my husband and I were traveling with our 10 month old. We stopped in an unfamiliar town for the night and walked into what must have been the town’s best resturaunt. We had not realized how nice the resturaunt was until we had been seated. We were starved. We told the waiter we just wanted to eat and run quickly. He took our order and we tried to keep the baby quiet. When our meals came and the baby was fed, one of the wait staff offered to take our rambuncious babe over to the wait station. They blew up balloons and played with the baby until our meal was over. Obviously we didnt have desert. They got a humungous tip and we went home intact.

I love kids coming to the restaurant where I work. I love to see families out enjoying life together.

Assuming the facts in the story are true, it seems as if the manager did everything he could to remedy the situation.

I’m curious as to why the parents would want a photo of their precious little snowflake out in the news/internet.

Parents motives are very suspect to me.

How do we know she wasn’t behaving like a “littell” (sic) Biden ?

I expect that kind of language at Denny’s—but not here!

Boy did you luck-out with the wait staff and that restaurant. Some places are like that, family oriented. Nice story!

If the restaurant caters to families with children then what does the waitstaff have to complain about. Dealing with children is part of their job.

I leave NO tip for that kind of BS.

I don't know how tipping waiters and waitresses in England works, but I know when my cousin came over to the U.S.A. with his wife for a trip to Florida, he was very surprised at all the tipping that was expected. In his letter to me telling me about his trip, he had a really hard time understanding the concept.

Here's what he wrote:

That tipping thing we are not used to it, it just seemed wrong to us, but we had to go along with it, is it like that all over the USA?

Exactly. My kids would never misbehave in a restaurant.

The couple in question said the food wasn’t any good but they are hardly objective. I wonder if it is any good.

In NYC/Boston, I would never think of *going* out without a wad of small bills for tips. It’s how it is. Less so in smaller cities.
