It was a busy summer. Didn't have a lot of time to be here, but things are calming down some now as we head into fall.
Did I tell you I got a beautiful white Pope John Paul II rose? You remember, I was looking for a perfect white rose? I think I found it. This hybrid tea is really beautiful and a prolific bloomer. This photo isn't great and the rose shows a bit of rust, but it was the very first blossom last spring.
Hope you had a good summer too. Are you ready for fall? I always am, but am never ready for the long cold winter.

Well, since you mentioned it, here is Chachi with his Sissy Sue, up on the back of the love seat in the 5th wheel. They love to lay there when we are camped and watch out the back window. They can see the whole world from there.
It's nice to be missed and I have missed my FRiends here too. I'm glad to be back. :-)

It's been non stop crazy, one thing after another, here since June. Wish I could be here more often. Fall is a great season, unfortunately, the cold winter then follows. Winter wouldn't be so bad, if only it was not so long here.
You just gave me another rose to plant! ;) Pope John Paul II rose is gorgeous! You took a great photo. Next year, I have to plant a few more and this is definitely going to be among them. Thanks!

Re: the Pope John Paul II rose; I got mine (as a bare-root rose) on line at Jackson and Perkin’s website. I hope you will be as happy with yours as I am with mine. I have always been partial to pure white roses.

Good Morning Mama_Bear
Thanks! I'm partial to the white roses too. Wish the deer that come by would not snack on the roses so often. ;)
Your rose was planted this year? It looks so lovely and healthy!

The Teacher As A Midwife
My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you. Galatians 4:19
The mother of the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates was a midwife. So Socrates grew up observing that she assisted women in bringing new life into the world. This experience later influenced his teaching method. Socrates said, My art of midwifery is in general like theirs; the only difference is that my patients are men, not women, and my concern is not with the body but with the soul that is in travail of birth.
Instead of just passing information on to his students, Socrates used the sometimes painful process of asking probing questions to help them arrive at their own conclusions. Teaching them to think seemed at times like the travail of childbirth.
Paul expressed a similar idea in discipling believers in the faith when he said, My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you (Gal. 4:19). Paul was concerned that each believer grow to spiritual maturity in Christlikeness (Eph. 4:13).
Becoming like Christ is a lifelong experience; therefore, we need patience with others and ourselves. All of us will have challenges and disappointments along the way. But if we put our trust in Him, well grow spiritually and have character qualities that will radiate new life.
Lord, help us see how much we need each other
As we walk along the Christian way;
In fellowship with sister and with brother,
You will keep us growing day by day. Hess
