Thanks for the update, TCP. It is great that she is getting her appointments scheduled sooner than anticipated.
Prayers are continuing for Aunt Mickey.

Cute puppies!
"Mares eat oats" is the first song I remember...along with "Sentimental Journey" and WW2 songs. The war songs were great.

I didn’t know you and Weinie were song writers.
I’ll be sure to watch the next Country Music Awards program to cheer you on. :)

Yes ... the WW2 songs were great. They taught us to be patriotic and appreciate those that served.
I remember “Mares Eat Oats” and “Three Little Fishes”. Also, my Mom would sing “Playmate” to us.
I learned to crochet sitting at the kitchen table with my Mom while she crochetted and listened to the radio.

A woman wants the inside of her house painted and she calls a contractor in to help her. They wander around the house, and she points out the colors she wants. She says, "Now, in the living room, I'd like to have a neutral beige, very soft and warm."
The contractor nods, pulls out his pad of paper and writes on it. Then he goes to the window, leans out and yells, "Green side up!"
The woman is most perplexed but she lets it slide. They wander into the next room. She says, "In the dining room I'd like a light white, not stark, but very bright and airy."
The contractor nods, pulls out his pad of paper and writes on it. Then he goes to the window, leans out, and yells "Green side up"! The woman is even more perplexed but still lets it slide.
They wander further into the next room. She says, "In the bedroom, I'd like blue. Restful, peaceful, cool blue."
The contractor nods, pulls out his pad of paper and writes on it. Then once more he goes to the window, leans out and yells "Green side up"!
This is too much. The woman has to ask. So she says, "Every time I tell you a color, you write it down, but then you yell out the window 'Green side up.' What on earth does that mean?"
The contractor shakes his head and says, "I have four blondes laying sod across the street."

Remember this one?
The alpacas in the commericals look so sweet.
I think llamas are disagreeable creatures. :)

Hey, sistah dutchess! I enjoyed reading your “novel”. It’s always nice to see you here. I’ve gone for awhile too. I just have so little time for playing on the computer anymore. I’m involved in some painting projects again. I am in the process of painting the entire inside of our house one room at a time (and it’s a big house!). I’m slow, but I am getting it done, slowly but surely. Also, have been very active in our Central Valley Tea Party organization, and with taking care of JK’s mom, it’s just one thing after another.
I have missed the first couple DWTS, but I will tune in to see your Louie dance. I can imagine if our little town had a contestant on that show. We’d be going nuts too!
You take care, sistah. It was wonderful yakking at you for a little while. HUGS!

"Liddle Lambs
eat IN Ivy"... :)
That is such a sweet face inside that pretty ivy framing. Baby animals don't stay little long enough.
To: JustAmy
Ah yes, I do remember that one!!! What a comical creature. So, is that an alpaca or a llama? Do you know the difference? Guess I could google it.

Good evening, DD.
It has been another hot one here also.
I'm ready for some beautiful autumn days!
We had lots of dust from the 'amond' harvesting last week.
I think they are finished in the orchards near us.
It is interesting to watch the harvesting of our different crops.
They are picking wine grapes here now.
It is sure different than when I picked grapes ...
they have a mechanical harvester that rips the grapes from the vines.
I can't believe that it is almost October and still 100 degrees. phewww.
Have a delightful evening.

We all need to go to that site and sign the petition.
Congress should not be allowed to opt out of any bill they sign into law. They are not royalty!!!
Thanks, JOHNN!

Dutchess .... what a delight to see you here again.
We've missed you.
I don't watch much TV except for Fox News
but I will try to catch DWTS so I can watch Louie.
Don't be such a stranger.
Hope to see you again soon.
Enjoy your five days in Michigan.
