I was living in California then..I was never one to swoon over Frankie when I was young...but let me tell you he can just break your heart with his beautiful voice and delivery..The second time he sang as though he didn’t give a rip..hard to explain..but it happens.

Polly, any news on your babydog? Sadly yes..... I have been in tears all night. The Vet says her labwork shows a dangerous level in her liver enzimes and lots of infection. He feels she could very well have liver cancer. Our hearts are broken tonight. I don't know how we are going to tell Kobe and Saudia. She can't walk hardly at all tonight.

Polly, I am so sad hearing your heart-breaking news. It doesn’t look good and we all here at Amy’s grieve right along with you....it breaks out hearts too as we all worship our animals and other’s animals too! Praying for you, your family, and your sweet baby dog.

Oh, no, Polly. I am so very sorry. I don’t know what to say. I know your hearts are broken - it makes me cry, too. Bless her sweet little heart - it sounds like there is not much that can be done, I’m so sorry.

Thank you, and You're Welcome.
This is a cheerful thread you ladies have going on here... certainly a nice change from most everything else I am reading on FR.
Kudos to Amy, certainly, and to all those contributing.

Oops. Sorry for the breach in protocol. I'll try to keep it down. I was on dialup for years (until late last year, actually), so I understand fully. I used to send this graphic out to anyone who emailed anything to me which was over a couple of mb...

I once had a German Shepard - Saint Bernard puppy that looked a lot like that one. Only problem is, they double in size every day. Well... seems like they do, anyway.
When a moderately progressive liberally socialistic commie-pinko statist refers to the American people, it aint me. Naw. Naw. Naw. It aint me theyre speaking of.

The Thinking Christian
Casting down arguments and . . . bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
David McCulloughs biography of John Adams, one of Americas founding fathers and early presidents, describes him as both a devout Christian and an independent thinker, and he saw no conflict in that. I am struck by that statement, for it carries a note of surprise, suggesting that Christians are somehow naïve or unenlightened, and that the idea of a thinking Christian is a contradiction.
Nothing could be further from the truth. One of the great benefits of salvation is that it causes the believers mind to be guarded by the peace of God (Phil. 4:7), which can foster clear thinking, discernment, and wisdom. Paul described this in his second letter to Corinth when he wrote that in Christ we are equipped for casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor. 10:5).
To sift through an argument wisely, to embrace the clarity of the knowledge of God, and to align our thinking with the mind of Christ are valuable skills when living in a world lacking in discernment. These skills enable us to use our minds to represent Christ. Every Christian should be a thinking Christian. Are you?
If you grasp the message of Gods Word,
If youve learned to think things through,
Then you can defend the Christian faith
With wise words both clear and true. Branon
