A few years ago, while hubby was working in Denver, we took a sidetrip to Colorado Springs to visit Focus on the Family headquarters.
They actually have a mock-up of the radio series with the (working) ice cream shop and everything!

So happy today is my work at home day.
By the time I left the workplace yesterday, my hair was about on fire.
I was moved to my OWN little office back in June when my dear Richard was nearing the end.
Yesterday I was informed that I am being moved back into the main office area, WAY IN THE BACK where the supplies used to be.
I am NOT a happy camper about this because the reason given was that help is needed in answering phones so “2” of us are being moved there.
THE SAINTED ONE can’t answer the phones?? It take two more people to do it?
I wanted to tell my “Manager” that he should have THE SAINTED ONE give up some of her “personal phone call” time and then there wouldn’t be an issue.
Now, if he told me the reason was because of office space, I wouldn’t have voiced my outrage...i’d have just quitely moved.

No kidding. I was sooooooo outraged I spent a good part of the day in tears.
I know to some it sounds like a minor thing and nothing to get upset about but I really am sick and disgusted over THE SAINTED ONES behavior towards me since Richard was diagnosed as terminal in January.
I can’t stand looking at her, or being in the same general area as she is.
I am NOT one to hold a grudge but her actions and behavior went way beyond normal human decency.
During our conversation yesterday a not so subtle hint was thrown out that I wasn’t being generous after his generous acts of “flexibility” during the past 8 months.
WELL..........I didn’t need the flexibility because my freakin DOG WAS HAVING surgery like SHE cried about all the time.
I’m getting wound up again LOL
I still listen to AIO almost every day. Right now I have the Novacom series checked out from the library to listen to soon. I love it and I have no young -uns here as an excuse. I thought they did the production in Colorado Springs. But I just learned a few weeks ago that it is filmed somewhere in CA. How weird is that?
Also, the second Whit has just retired. This fall they’re introducing a new voice as Whit. I really do miss Hal Smith who played the first one. I watch the Otis parts now on Andy Griffith and am just in awe of that man’s ability. I always liked Otis but I think Hal Smith was great!
I also enjoy the voices of Alan Young who plays Jack Allen (I recognized him as Wilbur Post as soon as I heard him) and Dave Madden. I think perhaps Madden was type cast. He’s great in the part!

My account on FB started being just me and Dolly and snugs, then folks from my long-term dog list found me and they are legion. And most are Dems - They join things like Bernie Sanders fans lists, vote NO on Palin, etc. Their politics disgust me. If I post a pro-Palin, they post an anti. I just hide them. And play Farm Town.
In the pastor’s sermon Sunday, he mentioned a group called “The Brights” - google it sometime.
He was mentioning - mainly to the college aged kids, how they are headed off into a world where their belief system will be greatly challenged, by those who feel superior because they have eliminated many beliefs we hold dear. We would call it brain-washed.
This Brights movement, and others like it, seem to me to be a part of the great apostacy. Not really news, but I was interested in how organized it’s becoming.
Of course, I want to be thought of as "bright". Who wouldn't. Check out their home page, however. They are scary people.
On the surface they seem nice, but in reality, the nature outcome of a naturalistic worldview is "grab whatever you can get now and get away with because this life is it".
Straight from the pit and it smells like smoke.

I tried to avoid this by just having family in my facebook file, but unfortunately she is a political lunatic. Her long long file includes, Friends of Olbermann, Bill Maher, Sean Penn, Save Palestine from Isreali Occupation to name a few. She also used to attend church and was active there until she decided to attend college in her 40’s and became “enlightened”. Now, she is wise and the rest of us are jerks, who just don’t know the ‘real’ score of life. She is a new ager.
