I'm so glad I re-joined Netflix this week. What will YOU watch on TV?

Thank God for satellite TV and Netflix. I remember when the JFK story was all that could be seen for days and days....

Wow, I just posted a reply to you and it disappeared - it never showed up, so here goes again....

There are a lot of quality shows on cable and satellite. I just got tired of flipping through hundreds of channels trying to sift through the dross. AND they kept raising the prices

Once digital TV came and gave me a decent picture, I canceled my paid TV and went for the free channels.

There still isn’t much for me to watch though, so I’m getting so reading done.

BTW how is your vision since you had the surgery?

Being as it’s 109 outside and likely to hit 116 by Friday, we’re watching every episode of Ice Road Truckers that’s scattered around the History Channels.....

Just rejoined the other day so that I can watch some of the great British shows

I recommend the British series Foyle's War, The Last Detective and the Inspector Lynley Mysteries. A lot of hours of enjoyment there and Foyle's War has some interesting additional material about what was happening in England during the war.

When the fourth episode of season 3 of BSG was aired on SciFi.....

was the last time I actually watched TV.

I don’t miss it, either.

Still watching my BSG DVDs, though.

The two episodes I saw involved a mutiny and were not only superbly written, they were well acted and very good.

Watch TV? What’s that?

Between getting kids settled in college and housework, gardening, quilt making, health issues, car issues, etc., I have more than enough to do that I don’t even miss the TV.

Anything I do watch if I need something to distract me while cutting out quilt pieces, for example, we have on DVD.

Off topic but do you have a good peanut butter cookie receipt? Asking all those I am pretty sure are Granny’s.

Agreed. Just go through the entire second season of “Mad Men.” No Bourdain on Travel Channel tonight (unfortunately).
