Hi All,
I just received an e-mail from "saveliberty" advising me she has been hospitalized. The cause as she wrote was:
"I have a significant, but benign tumor near my ear that is pushing against a nerve (which hemorrhaged). It sounds bad but I have excellent care."
It certainly does sound serious to me, even though saveliberty said she was being well cared for. She did want me to let her FRiends here know of her condition. When I get further info, I will post it.
In the mean time, if you could add saveliberty to your prayers, I know she would be comforted by that.
saveliberty is often the Threadmistress, and I am but a poster. So, if you all could perhaps place saveliberty's situation in the proper locations, I would be very grateful. [Or Moderators, if you are reading this.]
Get well soon, saveliberty!
Prayers up for you.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Just read the email posted on 11/24. I’m quite remiss in checking FR. Hope this finds you feeling better. My prayers are with you.
Thank you, kedd!
I have bad days and good ones. It’s getting harder since it has been so long since I was diagnosed, but hopefully the new surgery date is the true one.
Hope things are OK with your mom and dad.
Hey, some good news. Our long suffering Carolina Panthers won a game today. Unfortunately, it was at the expense of TOL’s Tampa Buccaneers!
Keep your spirits ups.
Hello everyone!
Tomorrow is the first of two pre-op procedures - these have been a long time coming. Whew!
I am learning more about my right side. Symptoms were getting worse and now it seems that there are more food allergies. In addition to milk, milk products and nuts, it appears that I am also allergic to gluten and soy. This means that eating is a bigger challenge but the good news is that my right side is getting much better.
I was out yesterday and while I was out, the Nurse Practitioner returned my call. Mom was so frustrated with her that she vented her spleen. :o Yikes!
I called back and left a message that I was sorry for Mom’s frustration and asked more questions about allergy testing prior to surgery.
We are getting a big snowfall today. I hope that you all are safe and warm.
Have a great day today!
Cheers,
save
Just get better my friend! Merry Christmas & May the New Year bring you health & happiness!
Always remember YOU WIN!
Keep warm. It's nasty here!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, tol and to the whole tol flock!
LOL Who knew that it would be hard to eat fat? Don’t ask me what I had for breakfast. LMAO
Thank you, lysie! Stay safe!
Hey, don't worry about the NP--I highly doubt that your mom said anything a nurse hasn't heard before... well...nothing that a good nurse hasn't heard before...
You stay warm, too, and have a good day!
I'm sure one of the many things that Nurse Practitioners are well-practiced in is speaking with frustrated parents, particularly with those Moms who have had to wait as long as your has to see her kid - no matter how old the kid is - get into surgery ASAP. If your Mom hadn't flown off the handle about all this by now, we'd have see about getting her in for neurological observation pronto - something would be indeed very wrong with her if she hadn't. ;-)
Good luck on those procedures sl. God bless you.
Glad you’re making some progress SL!!
Enjoy the snow if you can, stay warm and safe!
Keep us posted :)
Thank you, MaggieCarta!
You have a great day, too!
Thanks, leilani! Mom thinks that the medicine did it, but I don’t think so. I will ask the surgeon when I see him. I think that he’s on the schedule for tomorrow, but if not, then I will see him next week when I have the MRI.
LOL Mom scolded the Nurse Practitioner for not being more responsive as Mom said that I am so upbeat. She also was frustrated by the length of time we’ve been waiting and that we are now on our fourth surgery date. NP didn’t know about the schedule, so that went badly too.
:o Yikes!
Thank you, prairiebreeze! How is your fil doing?
Thank you, Mom! You stay safe and warm too!
Glad to hear you are starting in on the pre-op procedures, save. Hope you skate thru and get answers to your many questions. We had several inches of rain down here north of Philly but the sun is shining and it’s in the 50’s!! Wish we could pass this along to you—the weather outlook up there is quite nasty. Stay warm and snug.
Keeping you close in prayer for all to go well, Save.
So glad that the process has finally begun for you.
Give "Mama Save" a hug for us. : )
God bless.
