sl, glad to hear your symptoms are abating as your long (waaaaay too long)-awaited surgery approaches. But do they know why the food allergies only began to manifest themselves concommitantly with the tumor? It's kinda interesting to speculate on the possible cause/effect or chicken/egg connection with the abnormal growth & food allergies showing up at approx. the same time.

I'm sure one of the many things that Nurse Practitioners are well-practiced in is speaking with frustrated parents, particularly with those Moms who have had to wait as long as your has to see her kid - no matter how old the kid is - get into surgery ASAP. If your Mom hadn't flown off the handle about all this by now, we'd have see about getting her in for neurological observation pronto - something would be indeed very wrong with her if she hadn't. ;-)

Thanks, leilani! Mom thinks that the medicine did it, but I don’t think so. I will ask the surgeon when I see him. I think that he’s on the schedule for tomorrow, but if not, then I will see him next week when I have the MRI.

LOL Mom scolded the Nurse Practitioner for not being more responsive as Mom said that I am so upbeat. She also was frustrated by the length of time we’ve been waiting and that we are now on our fourth surgery date. NP didn’t know about the schedule, so that went badly too.

:o Yikes!
