Happy WFWednesday, everyone.

If I missed anyone, I guarantee that it wasn’t intentional. I should have brought my desktop. :)

We are in Flagstaff ... nice cool weather. We are headed to the Grand Canyon today and will leave for Laughlin, NV tomorrow. Then Barstow and then home on Saturday.

Marissa is missing the dogs, the fish and Mr Mittens. We are still relaxing and not pushing ourselves to make any deadlines.

I miss everyone. See you soon.

Have a lovely day.

Amy, do you know we miss you? I hope you're having a nice trip and I am glad you are taking it slow and enjoying a relaxing vacation. No use coming home tired (which we always do). I know you know this but Billie does such a grand job and we appreciate her so much! And we love her too!

HEY!!!

What happened to PapaBear and St.Louie?

Don’t know what this is all about but I will look closer when I get home.

Please don’t redecorate while I’m gone. :)

Yorkie is NOT a happy camper today!
Last night, Something(s) ripped out
every single geranium that I planted last month!

Glad you enjoyed the plant. I thought it was awfully pretty. Your little doggie is so sweet. Kitty, what color is your font? Is that called tan, beige or is it from the Font Colors Chart? I am always wanting that color when I do some of my animals. Its very pretty! And matches your puppy so perfectly! ((Hugs))

Years ago I bought and planted 25’ of yellow marigolds, came in for a break and a shower, and by the time I went to look at my efforts, I was able to see the little boy from next door disappearing down the path to home will all my marigolds. Plucked.

Thanks, JC! It was not easy to find - there is no such thing as a snarling, growling, teeth showing yorkie. They have sweet dispositions - but there comes a point where “ENUF is ENUF”!

It was probably javelina - as everything was yanked out (roots and all), leaving large holes, and potting soil all over the lawn.

‘Critters’ aren’t supposed to like the taste of geraniums - (or marigolds - which were eaten by moles several years ago - 36 plants!)

I have tried cayenne pepper - and dog fur, and everything I can think of - but an animal that will eat raw cactus, spikes and all, and habenero peppers, will not be deterred by a little pepper.

I think I am going to go for the Moon Plant (dautra) which is fatally poisonous - every part. Grrrrrrrrrrr

I really connect with this one -

Dragon on my hand

As Long As I Live

In one of my first adventures,
I traveled as a fox,
I then became a cat or two,
(I think outside the box!)

Of course, back in my caveman days,
So much I did not know!
The warm inviting firelight,
The cold, warmth-drinking snow.

As Robin Hood, my Merry Men,
Could entertain me well,
In hidden bowers of the wood,
Where I and they did dwell.

I didn’t like the dying,
But that’s a part of life.
You take the bitter and the sweet,
And struggle with the strife,

For this is why you’re living,
Here in the folded lands,
The flat landscape that opens up,
Uncovered by your hands.

Transferring wisdom through those funnels,
You call eyes into your head,
To give you memories of past lives,
As gifts of what you’ve read.

For now the thousand lives I’ve led,
Inure me to some pain,
Those joyous friends I will not see,
Unless I read again,

Yet still they wait, on dusty shelves,
For other eyes than mine,
Like goblets for the next to taste,
Their own first sips of wine.
