Rather warm here, too. I've stayed inside most of the day.

Well, I just got back on here and found out your news. Hallelujah that your A.C. is fixed. Did it take them many hours? Makes you feel good when thats behind you! I know when something goes wrong with mine (winter or summer) I sorta go into ‘panic mode’....but generally it doesn’t turn into the mountain ‘I’ make it! LOL!

They are bringing in 450 more firefighters today - and I was wondering how they were going to drop that many - with all their equipment, from helicopters.

Thank you for the link - I’ll keep an eye on it, Jinxy!

We have had almost no rain at all for months, Connie! Oh - a drizzle, here and there - but nothing substantial.

They are suspecting that this fire was started by dry lightening.

Where’s the MONSOONS??

Thank you, Billie! We had a breathtaking time taking the pictures, too!

The scenery was lovely and the walk...well...took our breath, it was so long! LOL!

They’re hiding somewhere - we’ve not had much rais to speak of, either.

Local paper did quite a write-up of how our local farmers are hurting because of the lack of summer rains.

It took hours...and fan had to be replaced, too..but so far it is slowly cooling down ..It’s 81 in here now..frigid compared to earlier..LOL
It is 100 outside and my house would have been intolerable tonight if it had not been repaired...I would have gone to a motel though I slept well last night ..that 2 hour cool down and cooler night temps kept the house tolerable.

I am so happy to be able stay in my house with my HDTV, computer, bed and kitties!

So cute!August and on Sunday, too..
No A/C except for 2 hours since 5:30pm yesterday afternoon..Now it is finally fixed.and just in time..The house had heated up above 90 by the time they got it fixed..and it would have been intolerable to sleep here tonight without A/C.
It’s 100 outside.
I have been under my ceiling fan or outside in the shade today..It was getting uncomfortable..No suffering, though.

I'm so glad you got your AC fixed and it's cooling your
house again, Meg. This 100+ degrees is not fun. :(

We’ve only had one real rain.

It wasn’t enough to make any puddles but it sure brought the thunderboomers with it!:)

Other than that the monsoons have really been MIA this year.

Yorkie please keep us informed ok?
