Again I want to say how happy I am you’re back! And this Thank You graphic is one of your prettiest yet!
You asked for "A little background music, please.:)" - may I suggest one of these.....
I thought that was the pre wash cycle..
Actually, THIS is the prewash cycle:
And looks like I have really veered away from today's opening post - LOL. Let me see if I can get back on track, sorta - with a cute liddle kid and a cute big doggie. :)
Welcome home, Amy! Hope you had a really nice vacation. I know you are probably exhausted, so I’ll wait patiently for photos. ;-)
We arrived home from San Diego late last night. It’s one of my favorite places to visit and having family there makes it doubly nice. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay as long as we wanted. We were camped in a beautiful resort with our RV backed up to a pretty pond with enough wildlife to provide us with endless lazy entertainment. I wish we could have stayed for a week, but darn it, we had to get back home and keep the doors to the business open.
I am so happy that you like what Billie and I have done with the Amy’s Place graphic. And, of course, anyone who knows what wolfie means to the three of us must also know that he is an integral part of Amy’s Place and always will be. I think it goes without saying, we would never allow him (or PapaBear) to be cropped out of Amy’s Place.
I’m almost out the door, Billie, have some running to do. I enjoyed hurrying through whats been posted and will comment further later when I can take a better look! Ya’ll have a great day!
They are my “grandkitties”..I was staying whith my daughter when they were abandoned by their mom at about a week old..I helped them survive..Harder work than with a new baby! There were 5 in all..Trubble isn’t in the pic.
Precious baby and poem.
I remember 'following' the kitty saga when you were helping take care of them! Trubble was probably off getting in trouble. :)
Yes, the restaurants in San Diego are world-class. Casa de Bandini was always one of our favorites. It used to be located in an authentic old hacienda in Old Town, the food and atmosphere (and HUGE Margaritas!) were phenomenal. They lost their lease on their location about four years ago and it has taken them until last Spring to find the perfect place to reopen. They are now in a new location in Carlsbad just a few miles north of San Diego and about a mile and a half from my brother-in-law’s house. We were pleased to find their food and service and atmosphere just as good as it has always been.
Next time we go down there we will camp on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. There are no “hook-ups”, it’s dry camping, but with a generator we will have all the comforts of home and a beautiful view of the ocean from our window. Can’t afford to buy that real estate, but we can borrow it for a few days. ;-)
LOL..or in my lap..He was my big buddy...and kept everyone hassled that came in my room..Group invasions he could not deter, however.
Sassy would have been my best buddy but Trubble would have none of it...
I remember when we got off the plane there how COLD and WINDY it was, and it was August! The next day it was hot, but the day after that - at one of the beaches, it was so cold we had to wear a jacket again! I don’t see how anyone could swim in that cold water!
No, the Pacific, along the coast of California, is freezing cold! It always is, even on the hottest days. I don’t know how the surfers deal with it, even while wearing wetsuits. The Atlantic, on the other hand, is so warm along the east coast that it often feels bathtub temperature. In my perfect world, there is no seaweed on the beach and the water is just cool enough to be refreshing. Sort of like in the Caribbean - that’s where I really want to be, if I had my druthers!
Such an important lesson...Thank you, Mayor.
