The Heart Of The Gospel
We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed. 2 Corinthians 3:18
When E. Stanley Jones, well-known missionary to India, had the opportunity to meet with Mahatma Gandhi, he asked a searching question of Indias revered leader: How can Christianity make a stronger impact on your country? Gandhi very thoughtfully replied that three things would be required.
First, Christians must begin to live more like Jesus. Second, the Christian faith should be presented without any adulteration. Third, Christians should emphasize love, which is at the heart of the gospel.
These insightful suggestions are the key to effective evangelism around the world. As messengers of Gods love, we are to be human mirrors who reflect without distortion a growing likeness to our Lord; we are not to walk in craftiness (2 Cor. 4:2). If our lives reflect an image that is spiritually blurred, the truth of saving grace may not be clearly communicated (vv.3-5). We are also to share the biblical essentials of our faith clearly. We must not handle the Word of God deceitfully (v.2). And our lives are to be marked by love for God and others (1 John 5:1-2).
Lets be sure that we reflect a clear image of Jesus likeness, the truth of God, and love
Called to be salt and light in this world,
Called to preserve and to shine,
Called to reflect the glory of God
Oh, what a calling is mine! Fitzhugh

Good morning, Friends.
Thank you for keeping Amy's Place a fun place last week.
I haven't made it through the thread yet.
Looks like I missed bunches of great graphics, poems and good cheer.
We got home Saturday night but did very little until yesterday.
Millie and Max were so happy to see us.
They danced with joy when Marissa went out to spend some time with them.
Mr Mittens played the aloof dude but did let Marissa give him lots of hugs.
The fish were just their fishy selves.
Were happy to get fish pellets and flakes instead of that 7 day feeder thing. :)
I notice that we had several new visitors and
also some friends that we hadn't seen for awhile.
Welcome to Amy's Place and Welcome Back.
It is good to get home ..... I missed you!

Oh, Happy Day! Amy, you are back and we missed you, we really did! Hope your vacation turned out perfect and you feel refreshed! I say 'Welcome Back' with all my heart.
What a beautiful graphic this morning and no one knows this but I love Norah Jones music. I've looked her up on the Internet and listened to some of her music. Something about her voice is captivating! Thanks so much!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of everyday's Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight. I love thee freely, as men might strive for Right; I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise. I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints,I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life!and, if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death.

Thanks, DD.
Only had one little black cloud last week.
We had a rental car and I always decline the insurance options. In a collision, between American Express and our personal insurance, we should be covered.
First, let me say, we rented from Alamo. After a couple of days, the tire light came on. Mr Just checked tire and one was low ... no big deal, right? It came on again a couple of days later. Added more air but we wanted it checked before we headed out across the dessert for home. The Flagstaff Alamo person told us where to go to have it patched and told us it would be our responsibility since we did not purchase the insurance.
The guy at the tire shop said it had a hole in it and it could not be repaired. He sent us to a discount tire shop that had the tire we needed. There was no nail in the tire, just the hole.
A new tire cost us $153.00. When we returned the car, I ask Alamo to help with the cost since they gave us a car with a bad tire. They refused. Said they had no way of knowing when the tire was damaged. I suppose they are right but I was very unhappy with them. We didn’t drive on dirt roads or anywhere that we could have damaged the tire. Always makes you wonder if the guy at the tire dealer got a kick back from the discount tire place. Trouble is, we are at their mercy.
Other than that, the time off was wonderful. We didn’t win any money in Laughlin but we didn’t lose much either. (We didn’t do much gambling). I did none and MrJust and Jr each lost about $20.00. Marissa enjoyed using their pool and making new friends.
Hope you are having a Happy Monday.
