I have a wee tiny suggestion for Free Republic.
Is it at all possible to have a ZOT category, just as for General chat, or smokey back room?
It would be genuinely nice to have a place where the shame of so many trolls could be put on public display!

I decided that, if I didn’t try to get Frank to settle down for a nap, I wouldn’t be frustrated if he didn’t. So I mopped the kitchen and dining room. After a while I started to get snivelly, and I remembered a recent article by Mike Adams. He was feeling badly about something, and decided to call someone whose name started with A and say something cheerful. Then someone starting with B, and so on.
I couldn’t phone anyone while running the mop machine, but I decided to pray for a FReeper starting with A, then B, and so on through the alphabet. Now I feel great, and the floors are clean, and my NRA pocket knife came, a prize for contributing to gift memberships for military personnel.

I love being able to do something for the military! In the letter that came from the NRA, the staffer said he’d gone to Iraq, on his own dime, to visit the troops. He got a “journalist” pass, but after a couple of days, he taped over the title and put “NRA,” because the soldiers didn’t want to talk to him until he mentioned he was an NRA employee!
Awesome! Well, my grandson is now in the “war zone” and I’ve sent my first letter. I haven’t been doing very good on the letter writing for anyone, because I haven’t felt good enough to think about what to write.
But he is my heart, and I will keep him in my prayers.
I hope he gets the mail!
I should have the kids make some cards and then get some addresses from “AnySoldier.” They’ve probably overwhelmed their grandparents by now!
If anyone wants my grandson’s APO, let me know by FReepmail.
I’ve decided to start buying USPS post cards and sending them to the military folks I know. That way, they don’t even have to pay postage. Also, if I have extra return address stamps, I include a couple of them, as well. It’s the least I can do, and I can get 10 cards for $3 + $1 S&H. (I get them from USPS online)

Oh yes, well of course. In retrospect, I can see it clearly now.
So many things are clearer in retrospect ... also if you clean your glasses!
Things are blowing up here at work, hence my absence.
Puppy is growing. Kids are hellions. Work is a sh*tstorm.

Just yesterday I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring as a speaker at a conference next March (in Baltimore). Usually this just takes a short e-mail but yesterday it took an hour or more to walk through the online forms, then produce documents such as talk outline, bio, speaking history, etc. I was tempted to drop it and walk away.
