Awwww! adorable, Amy and Lady Jag
We are a cool 85..The last two days I can breathe when I open the door into the garage..We’ll be back to triple digits soon...but the break is wonderful.
It sprinkled..no real rain.
I am staying up too late watching baby raccoons..I have quadruplets...one more showed up Sunday night.
My older kitty, Silky, stood at the door with me and purred as we watched.

As I opened the thread and saw the little ballerinas, this Nat King Cole came to mind. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did more than 50 years ago. :^ )

Sleepy Little Ballerina
To: MEG33
At 85 I’d be dying. We’re having a possibly record breaking cool summer and I love it. Frequent rain has cut down on sunny days but when the sun’s out it’s gone into the mid 70s, and that’s heavenly.
This is amazing. The raccoon mom with two babies actually has four. Two more showed up last night. This is a young mother.
Another larger mom seems to have two. We’ll see, I guess.

Billie, that opening is so sweet and the blue color is gorgeous. I also loved your opening yesterday of the butterfly on your verbena. You did good on the butterfly, you lucky thing! I have had so many things to do about a car and the insurance and I get so addicted when I do get on here, that I stayed away from temptation.
I miss everyone when I can’t be on but sometimes there are things that must come first! (whether we like it or not)!!
I hope I may get back to view some of the cute posts later but I do have to get back....have a couple of places to go yet today!

You do realize that I was only 5 years old, don’t you?
LOL
I remember that song because it was one of my Aunt’s favorites. She bought all of Nat King Cole’s records. Wish I had them now!

You have quads, too!
My mom seems awfully young, also.
The babies are getting braver...exploring, lingering..
Watching them crawl in and out of the birdbath saucer, sometimes tussle with each other..is just fun to do.
My young kitties like to watch..but I do think the babies fascinate my Silky most of all..She would have made a good mom.

Welcome Me, Adulthood
by Christina Cooper (Age 16)
Welcome me, Adulthood, I have ventured
through childhood with all the wonders and dangers in it.
I have placed my childhood fantasies aside,
and picked up hopes of becoming who I want to be.
Embrace me knowledge,
I am ready to know more and add to what I know already.
I have conquered my fear of the night,
now I only fear of becoming nothing.
I have stopped pretending to be what I thought I was going to be,
and realized that I am only what I make of myself.
I have come down from the land of make-believe,
and I have found the strength to believe in me.
So when I come upon you, open your arms,
and welcome me, Adulthood,
for I am headed your way.

I thought that picture deserved some Billie “magic”.
She did it!
Sweet little dancer, yorkie.
I have to run and catch up from sleeping so late.

Nat King Cole had such a beautiful, mellow voice.
When I searched YouTube for that song, I stopped and listened to a couple of others ... A Blossom Fell is so pretty.
A Blossom Fell.

Hi Yorkie.
Your graphic and poem are great. Thank you.
I’m late for an appointment but wanted to tell you how sweet your little lady is.
I was going to find a YouTube for you but couldn’t find what I was searching for. I’ll try again when I get home.
