Got It In Tennessee Two Months Ago, WSJ Says
Apple CEO Steve Jobs announces a GPS feature on the new iPhone 3G as he delivers the keynote address at the Apple Worldwide Web Developers Conference June 9, 2008, in San Francisco.
Steve Jobs, who has been on medical leave from Apple for the past six months, received a liver transplant in Tennessee two months ago, according to a report Friday in the Wall Street Journal.
Earlier this year, Apple's CEO was reported to be relocating from California to Tennessee, which has a shorter waiting list for patients seeking organs, the report noted. In January, after Jobs announced that he would step aside from his day-to-day duties for a six-month medical leave of absence, Bloomberg reported that Apple's CEO was considering a liver transplant. In a telephone interview at the time, Jobs refused to comment on his health status.

You are dangerously close to asserting unfounded allegations. Best to keep conjecture in check, rather than making false claims.
Where is this requirement that someone must own a home or two to get an organ transplant? I think you made it up.
My original comment was that not many people could buy a 2nd home in another state and move their for 6 months just to get on a shorter transplant list.
That was in response to the line in the article that said Jobs bought a house in Tennessee and moved their to get on a shorter list.
I thought you said that anybody could “do that”, meaning buy a 2nd house and move for 6 months just to get on a shorter list.
So far as I know, based on what others have said, it doesn’t even make sense that there would be a “shorter transplant list” in different states, and you certainly wouldn’t need to OWN a home in another state, you could just rent a place to establish residency.
The story smells fishy.
But my guess is that more info will come out.
Unless Jobs is a Baraqqi in which case more info won’t come out.
Anybody know?
Can you identify a single false claim that I made? It was clear that I was speaking of possibilities within (my knowledge of) the transplant system. There were no specific allegations made, so there was nothing “unfounded” in my statements.
You said — The advantages of having money. Not everybody could buy a house and move to another state just to get on a shorter transpant list.
—
Ummmm.., it’s more like — “Not everyone has the advantage of having rumors written about them that are not true...” LOL...
The press seems to be delightfully engaging in rumors without facts and without attributing those rumors to real and factual sources... :-)
You said — Wonder if Steve Jobs would be alive today if the Government ran health care...
—
Most likely, yes... I hear Jobs got his liver from some guy in Las Vegas, who woke up in his hotel room bathtub, missing his liver... LOL...
And if you believe that, you’ll believe any rumor that the press prints without the facts to back it up... :-)
You said — Let’s face it - there’s probably ten thousand Mac-heads fanatical enough to sacrifice themselves so their St. Steve can live just one more minute.
—
Well, someone else was spreading that rumor around, too — on another thread. But, from the Macintosh users (and iPhone and iPod users) that I’ve talked to, while they love their Macs and iPhones and iPods — they *also* love their livers and other organs and don’t intend to donate any of them to anyone else... LOL...
You said — Prayers for Steve.
—
I would rather say some prayers for the press, that they would start printing stuff that they have factual information for and can provide solid facts for.... LOL...
You said — Youve got to be kidding.
—
Well, it’s more akin to “kidding” by the press, since they are only printing rumors and have no facts to back it up... LOL...
You asked — So, if it is a national list, why does the article say he moved to Tennessee because the list was shorter?
—
LOL..., because the press can’t seem to get its facts straight...
You said — If Jobs doctors manipulated the system, they may be in a world of hurt for unethical practice.
—
It appears to be more of the kind of situation where the press is manipulating the facts... ummmm..., did I say “facts”... there aren’t any facts for them to manipulate there... they’re manipulating the rumors... LOL...
You said — Best to keep conjecture in check, rather than making false claims.
—
Of course, the press, obviously, has no qualms about that... LOL...
Most of the press has an agenda, as did the post that prompted my response. I prefer facts, without the innuendo.
Soomeone on the iran twitter said Jobs died. Does anyone know?

I believe that report is greatly exagerated and untrue. Sorry for posting before I checked.
