HAILEY (AP) A central Idaho man will be allowed to keep his bobcat at his home at least until August.
Police were called in last week in Hailey when a resident of this tourist town south of Sun Valley reported a big cat had jumped his fence.
Initially, Hailey Police ordered Anthony Pruitt, the cat's owner, to remove it from city limits.

My mother had a Manx cat when I was little. She cried when it got out of the house and we never saw it again...With those tufted ears they resemble a bob cat..
Wonder if his kitty jumps on his bed in the morning and gently bites his face to get him awake?
What lowlifes.. What kind of idiot hunts bobcats?
SO can people, dogs, elephants, tigers, lions, snakes, mosquitoes, spiders....let's kill them all.....now before it's too late!
I’ve seen a couple cats that were half housecat and half bobcat......they roam this ladies woods...and sleep in her garage....she feeds them....
I had a fat Siamese rescue that was de-clawed when I got it. It would choose a smallish tree it could get its front arms wrapped around and climb up it, it was fun to watch. She didn't even want to go outside unless I was going out then she would follow me like a dog. I think she knew she was nearly defenceless.
That cat is lucky it didn’t get up a tree, since it would have no way to keep from falling if it slipped.
I went to visit a friend of a friend once, and she had a declawed and defanged cat. I pet it, but it tried to slash and bite me. I was shocked because most domesticated animals love me. I guess it didn’t take well to strangers, and it was a good thing that its weapons were removed. It never went outside though.
Didn't know there were PETA members of FR!!! Impressive!
I am sure the many bonafied hunters here on FR appreciate being lumped into the "idiot" category. I "predator" hunt when I have time - around here, that mainly means coyotes and bobcats. I have seen a few bobcats, but have yet to get a shot at one. Do connect on a few 'yotes from time to time.
Thanks for calling me an idiot! Brightens my day.
What do you do with the bodies? To me, anyone that doesn’t kill to eat or for mercy (except people of course) are in a whole different category.
It depends - if the person I know who sells hides is available, I have a source to send the animals through. If I am otherwise doing some other form of hunting (usually deer hunting when I see the most coyotes), I leave them laying. Good-quality coyote pelts around here are not very common - too many dogs running around and the coyotes get pretty mange infested. I am hoping to get a good one (either a mature one with a great coat, or a black one (have shot one - couldn’t find it for a few days) to get mounted or at least tanned.
Coyotes kill livestock, pets, keep the turkey’s from having successful hatches, kill young deer, and actually have been known to be aggressive towards humans. They are primarily considered a pest. At times past, there have been bounties on them - you turned in tails to collect.
I don’t know...what kind of “idiot” kills the animals that eat their laying hens? Their ducks? Their geese?
You call those people idiots? Please include me.
LOL...good point! Thanks for tactfuly pointing out my overreaction.
bttt
Your post paints a funny picture of your cat. I am still chuckling..

"Ehhhrrrr..woof....ehhhrrrrhehehe!"
I do love cats but cannot have any on the road I live on. Too busy. Seeing a what a 1/2 bob cat 1/2 house cat looks like would be interesting..
You've just described any really pissed off cat.
My cat, Gucci (don't even think about laughing) .... she thinks she's a dog. She'll follow you around and even play fetch.
