HAILEY (AP) A central Idaho man will be allowed to keep his bobcat at his home at least until August.
Police were called in last week in Hailey when a resident of this tourist town south of Sun Valley reported a big cat had jumped his fence.
Initially, Hailey Police ordered Anthony Pruitt, the cat's owner, to remove it from city limits.

I know people who hunt them and have killed them over 40 lbs! Biggest I have ever seen a picture of (verified, not photoshop) was right at 50lbs.
I have seen video of a large bobcat taking down a yearling deer (deer had no spots - probably about 40-45 lbs).
did you see the move ‘The Hangover’?
Well, the female dogs of that neighborhood better hope so!
If the only way he could have this cat for a pet was to de-claw it, then I am totally against it.
This animal is now disabled for release and must be kept by someone.
(Think of de-clawing as having the first joint of your fingers and toes removed)

I thought I saw one recently, and I estimate about 70lbs (compared with my old hound, who is a little smaller but sturdier). Definitely 50+, probably not 80.
I have seen them before, and coyotes are plentiful, so I’m not surprised, but even to me this was a big cat.
A bobcat with a camel toe?
Eww. Looks like a Pamela Anderson starter kit.
LOL
How about “trainer boobies”......or, “starter boobies” oooo....ooooo....”learner’s boobies” (learner’s permit?)

Interesting timing of a post?

“Theyre relatively small, but theyll still eat your face off if they feel like it.”
Bring it on, I’m game!
A bobcat is not a pet. It can kill a MAN. I think he should shoot it - the skin might make a hot bikini fabric.
Yeah. It’s that bobcat that thinks it’s a dog that he really has to worry about ...
You're absolutely right. No declawed cat of any kind should ever be allowed to roam free. They have only their teeth, but they instinctively try to use their missing claws for hunting and defense.
Deceptively sweet looking little darlin’ isn’t it
The part about a bobcat that drives people nuts is its cry, which sounds like the loudest angry baby you ever heard, but a dozen times more grating. It has a visceral, instinctual effect, and makes your hair stand up.
You only need to hear it once, as it is unforgettable.
I couldn’t stand to have one. I do know that sound they make. I grew up in a big forest and we’d have to console tourists and even locals who would become extremely concerned about a baby or woman screaming in the woods. Even though I knew better I would still have this tiny thought of well, what if this time it really is ........
