The Transformers beauty has attended a number meetings with top moviemakers to discuss potential roles.

But she was shocked when they made moves on her during the interviews - and immediately turned them down.

Competition from independents is blocked at the distribution level, with the attitude that if good films are not seen, the public will watch the crap films. And this is a real shame. I think this started when Ed Burns made The Brothers McMullin and it was nominated for best picture. Since it was produced by his father, the oscar would have gone to a retired cop from Long Island. Could you imagine? I am glad the Christian movie makers in Georgia have found a distribution stream.
