Psalm 37:25

Thanks for posting this today. That verse will be useful to me and my aunt. She is preparing a future awesome celebration of life for my Grama who is now an active 91 year old. Heck, she might make it to 100. Her dad was 96. My aunt confided in me she is working on a great eulogy, because the funeral for her sister(my youngest aunt) last December was not reflective of her spititual life, her happiness, her joy in sharing the Lord. She died suddenly and there was no time to really prepare. Her immediate family used a pastor who did not know my departed aunt. OK, TMI, but that is why my surviving aunt is making sure Grama has the best memorial service ever.

So I will pass along Psalm 37:25, but I suspect Auntie already has it noted. She’s been in The Word for decades.

Friendship Is A Garden

If friendship were a garden, Then flowers ‘d be the friends How well our gardens cultivate On each gardener that depends. Some flowers must remain in light, And some will need support But all require love and care Regardless of their sort. We grow our gardens row by row One flower at a time Helping each establish roots Our efforts quite sublime. Each flower that we’ve ever touched In truth will touch us back Either with a soft caress Or thorns that stab like tacks But every once and then again A single bud may loom More brilliant than the other ones It is a special bloom. These are ones that should be cherished In hopes they will remain To lose them from our gardens would Engulf our hearts with pain.
