I remember my Mother having sweet peas growing on a fence in the side yard when I was a little girl. They were so pretty when they were blooming on that fence!

That is a Yorkshire Hairless!

A breed it is not. It is a Yorkie wondering why he is being horrifyingly embarrassed at being made to go naked.

If a human he would look like this:

Today I prayed for a dear friend of ours, who has been trying to find out what is wrong with his body. He has had blood in his urine and has been not feeling well in general. I spoke with him today and they seem to have almost ruled out the Big C. He is young, about 50 and has 4 lovely kind children and a loving wife. They are very good people, the best friends you could ever want.

Please Fellow Freepers, pray with me for Lance, that the doctors can figure out what is wrong with him, and that he can live to see his children get married and give him grandchildren. Thanks in advance for your generous prayers. We have wonderful prayer warriors here on FR. God Bless you all.

Hi! Lucky duck! You have a rose in bloom and mine are just deciding if they want to live or not after another harsh Wisconsin winter. I planted 10 last fall, and so far about half are showing sprouts of branches.

May the Loed give Lance’s medical providers all wisdom to find his problem and I pray he can be restored to full health to enjoy the love of his family. May he be comforted and strenghtehed..

Your story brought tears to my eyes. God Bless Lance and his wonderful family. I will surely offer prayers for him that the doctors can get to the root of his problems. Blood in urine can be symptoms of kidney or bladder problems. I had a husband with kidney problems and a brother in law with bladder problems. Not feeling well and with the blood in the urine go together and he must get to the bottom of it soon.

I would advise him to be firm with the doctors. Doctors will dance all around unless they know you mean business and you know something’s not right.

Remembering him in prayers.

Thank you dear, I am very hopeful the doctors will be able to help him. He sounded not himself on the phone today, not “up” and spunky. He said he’s had so many tests, he shyly said they are, “invasive”. He said he always hated going to doctors but heck, now they’ve seen “it” all and his embarrassment is no longer there. I was going to tell him how my sister in law described childbirth, she told me you’d be surprised after the group of medical people in the delivery room have seen “it all”, how you learn to not care. We are all so modest and raised to be that way, that baring it all is not natural to us. Lance has to be OK. He has so much to live for and so much he gives to others. Thanks for your prayers!

Thank you Meg! I also pray that doctors and nurses are guided by The Lord when someone is ill. God Bless!

Hi! Lucky duck! You have a rose in bloom and mine are just deciding if they want to live or not after another harsh Wisconsin winter.

Well, there aren't very many good reasons to live in Calfiornia, but our long warm summer and long growing season is one of them. But it'd probably kill a Wisconsinite, trying to survive our HOT summer here. One thing is for sure, I can guarantee you, I would not survive one winter in Wisconsin! So, I guess we're even. ;-)

It opened fully this morning - it's first flower on National Prayer Day! Is this not a beautiful thing?

A beautiful thing it is, Mama_Bear. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, we get to minus 20 a few times a winter, sometimes for a week at a time. Add in a brisk wind and the wind chill is -35. Sometimes the air is so cold it’s hard to breathe into the wind. We might get 2 or 3 days above 90 in summer. We do have nasty humidity though. We get a lot of 80’s with tropical humidity that make it uncomfortable to work outside, which is what I do. I run a commercial greenhouse. In summer I grow mums outside. This time of year I have the greenhouses full of plants. Things are selling well this spring. I will be out of spring stuff by about June 1. Mums will be here about then and I grow them all summer, and sell out around Oct 1. My family has been in the business continuously since 1933. Grampa started then. Now my parents still have their place, and me and my 2 siblings all have our separate businesses. We are all busy bees this time of year. I like Nov,Dec,and Jan, when I get time off. I have not been to CA, but someday I’d like to see it, and visit the Reagan Library.

At games, other schools in the area sell candy and soda but we are careful not to sell anything unhealthy until after 3:30.

I should have asked about the margaritas .... lots of vitamin C. :)

Marissa had a tummy ache.

She had a difficult time getting to sleep last night. She would sleep for 15 minutes and wake up. At 11:00, I gave her a Tylenol. She went to sleep about midnight. I think she was just tired today. I know that I was.

She seems fine now. Thanks for the prayer. We can always use a prayer.
