Thank you for the beautiful yellow iris. I love Iris; they look so delicate and are striking.

Nah, just me catching up on sleep.

Has your cat every caught a mouse inside the house?

You wouldn’t believe the amount of blood that comes out of one of those tiny things!

Mine caught a wood roach recently.in the kitchen. I was leaving the door into the garage open during nice weather so they could come and go at will..Those things are about the size of a tiny mouse..LOL..
They rarely get in the house but now I can be sure my little huntresses will get rid of them for me.
A couple of Mays ago there was a tarantula in the garage at my kitchen door one night..Silky did not get it..but she went into a crouch alert..would not budge and kept me from stepping on the thing in my bare feet.
(note to self..Wear shoes ..it’s May)

We never did figure out how the flying squirrel got into the house. The cats were too confused to attack, instead trying to figure what a mouse-bird could be, giving me a chance to trap it in a room and open all the windows where it finally freed itself.

On the other bloody hand, I once ran over a mouse with the lawnmower. Now THAT was spectacular!

Beautiful devotional.

Thank you, Major for your diligence to the daily devotions. STELLAR.

It often pauses me, and reaffirms my direction for today.

Now a flying squirrel in the house would be a problem..glad it was smart enought to escape.
I don’t want to imagine the mess the lawnmower made of the mouse.
Well..the sun’s out..shade over an area I need to clean on the patio..I need to grab a trash bag and start sweeping.
(((HUGS)))

My previous cat left a tail and one hind foot for the missus to find.
She left surprisingly little blood behind.
Now dad’s cat NiMH, he makes a mess because he’s trying to teach us how to hunt.

We’re currently just trying to keep them alive.
Making them look nice is a later project.
*sigh*

But it’s just a harmless little palmetto bug.
(The size of Charles Barkley.)

Never did get to see a flying squirrel here, though we do have them.
Wonder what the cats would do?

Thank you, Meg. I’m glad you enjoyed the Banana Boat opening. The colors are really vivid, aren’t they! Bright blue and sunny yellow - like your yellow Iris! :)

The flying squirrel was a youngster and very pretty and I was reminded that they can be kept as pets.

I was able to trap it in my studio which has lots of windows and though it was early evening he found his way out.

Thanks, Lori. Amy sent me a boatload of graphics last week - and when I came to the banana boat picture, I stopped opening the others until I went looking for the Banana Boat song. Amy "knew" what I'd do with that one!
