Okay ... last thing I will share til tonight..(after we hopefully have won our game against the Mavericks)
Sistine Chapel 360 degrees
this is so wonderful. most of us will never see it in person so this is the next best thing. take your time and enjoy it. It is so nice to be able to zoom in on absolutely any part of the chapel that you want to see intricately.
THIS IS SO MAGNIFICENT, USE THE ARROWS TO SEE THE WHOLE CHAPEL. :
The Agony and the Ecstacy book about Michaelangelo's life relates how he painted these celinings lying upside down on a scaffold.
On the link below you can scroll around to see the ceiling and walls.
It takes a few minutes to fully upload.
By using the arrows, and + and - , you can see from top to bottom and then magnify the details.
The arrows let you turn the picture 360 degrees!
This website is getting so many hits that it's unable to handle them sometimes and closes down. It will show the picture with a row of symbols across the bottom of the screen. Then you can manipulate the screen. You will not see anything else like it. The Sistine Chapel.

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!

Cdr. Duane Wolfe, USNR, KIA 25MAY2009
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
Eternal Father Strong To Save

Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace! We who remain hold you in high honor. Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct; We who remain keep this place sacred. Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades; We who remain keep the watch. Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nations call; We who remain press the fight forward in your name. Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden; We who remain have taken up the torch. Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!

The reason I was familiar with the Kindle is that I get on Amazon looking for things. I have ordered several books from then so I learned about Kindle. I believe they are quite expensive if I remember correctly. When I read a book, I want it in my hands, all cuddled up comfortably....
I can understand M.L.’s son in Iraq needing one though.
