Amen..Thank you for this beautiful goodnight and beautiful thread honoring those who gave all.
That is the best post of all this Memorial Day Weekend.
God Bless them all.
Goodnight, Amy. Your goodnight graphic is just so very beautiful. Goodnight, FRiends - What wonderful tributes you have all posted today. The love of our country and our military has never been more apparent than right here at Amy’s Place today. Thank you all for the very moving pictures and poems and remembrances.

Whenever I find something this lovely, y’all come to mind as ones who can appreciate. This is Debussy’s Clair De Lune, as done in 1962 with piano and violin. Truly a great performance. Enjoy.
To be honest I didn’t put it together. I received it in an E mail and just knew it had to be posted on FR. Thanks and Aloha to all.
This is so lovely, Sundog..Thank you for sharing it.
That is a beautiful prayer, JC. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Sundog. Wow. Forty seven years ago - and as inspiring today, as it was then.
Thank you Amy. It has been an inspiring day, with some very powerful words and graphics here.
Good night, and thank you for opening your door, here, for all of us, so graciously.
Thanks for posting that graphic again MB. I'm humbled and honored to be displayed in such manner. I've had the opportunity to visit “The Wall” plus the Traveling Wall on three different occasions over the years. I'm humbled to be in the presence of all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
I attended a ceremony today at one of the local cemeteries and had the opportunity to speak with a Gold Star Family from our area, parents of Cpl. Michael D. Anderson Jr., USMC. I carried my beat-up “Land of the Free - Because of the Brave” sign and one of the speakers directed everyone's attention to it, asking me to raise it high and turn that all may view those profound words. My purpose was to honor the fallen. Cameras clicked to capture the message.
Beautiful graphic and message, Amy. Thank You.
Very lovely, Sundog. Have always enjoyed Clair De Lune and remember it in several movies. Thanks....
Thanks yorkie....what a beautiful and patriotic thread this was today. Seems every post was powerful and touching. We are a patriotic bunch of guys and gals, aren’t we, and very proud of it! We cannot show too much love for our Military ever!
Yes, Amy, that sure would be wonderful but I just don’t think it would be possible.....but will give some thought to it anyway!
A new Broadway musical, however, turns the moral sense of the original story on its head. In this rewriting of the story, the wicked witch is presented as a sympathetic character. Born with green skin, she feels like an outsider. Major characters, plot lines, roles, and other details are altered so that the wicked witch is really just a misunderstood person. The audience might come away with the idea that evil is good and good is evil.
During the ministry of the prophet Isaiah, a reversal of moral values took place in Israel. Some actually lifted up the evils of murder, idolatry, and adultery as good. In response, Isaiah gave a stern warning: Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil! (Isa. 5:20). In our relativistic world, popular culture constantly challenges biblical values. But studying, memorizing, and meditating on Gods Word can ensure our discernment between good and evil.
I was absolutely sure you would be at some Memorial Day ceremony somewhere, because that's what you do - and that is why you are one of the most patriotic men I know. Thank you for all the ways you honor America, our troops, our veterans and our fallen heroes.
I recieved FReepmail from our friend Pandy. She asked me to let you all know that she will be having some extensive medical tests today, that may result in her being taken to the nearest hospital for immediate surgery, if the doctors find something that cannot be fixed at the surgi-center.
Please keep her in your prayers today, and pray that that the doctors will be able to correct any problem they may encounter (if any) , during the first proceedure.
Please address your prayers to pandoraou812. Thank you SO much!
...that God is holding you close
as you go through these tests, Pandy.
