Luv, I had the chart but I thought I had to put the numbers in! I’m glad to know I could type in slate blue, etc. instead of the numbers. See, you taught someone else something! We will be genious’s (sp.) when you get through with us.....LOL!

It’s fun to learn! We all learn from one another and that’s
the great thing about it!

Just remember to type the color just like they have it...with no spaces. I tried to put spaces between words, like, “dark slate blue” and nuttin’ happened! :D

It’s easier to remember color names than numbers, for sure!

The Gift Of Self-Indulgence
She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. —Ezekiel 16:49

An upscale London department store launched a new gift card with the slogan, “The Gift of Self-Indulgence.” Throughout the store, signs, slogans, and even nametags called attention to the cards. According to one employee, sales of the gift cards during the first weeks of the promotion had been very strong, far exceeding company expectations. Generosity may prompt a person to give a luxurious gift to someone special, but too often we find it easier to purchase what we want for ourselves.

The prophet Ezekiel sheds light on an ancient city whose people suffered God’s judgment, in part, because they embraced a self-indulgent lifestyle. “This was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit” (Ezek. 16:49-50).

Historically, the Lord has dealt harshly with His people who became arrogant, overfed, and unconcerned (v.49). The antidote to the poison of self-indulgence is the desire to please God and serve others, not ourselves (Phil. 2:4).

Self-indulgence is a gift we don’t need.

Some are discouraged and weary in heart,
Help somebody today!
Someone the journey to heaven should start,
Help somebody today! —Breck

The more we serve Christ, the less we serve self.

Several years ago, we could do all kinds of mouseovers and fun stuff on the forum, using scripts to do the magic. You could rest your mouse on one picture and it changed colors or changed to another picture, etc. (I did it with an Easter Bonnet graphic - one graphic was Freeper 'girls' in hats, and when you ran your mouse over the picture, the girls changed to Freeper 'guys' in hats. It was cool. Soon that option was removed because, I believe, Mr. Robinson said it made the forum vulnerable for hijacking and had all kinds of security risks.

HOWEVER......we can still do the little trick that's used in your link to the famous people that let you click on the different faces and it takes you to Wikipedia to give their bios. :)

My map of the US States is an example (extra-long example! because there are so MANY links involved): if you click on pic any state we have profiled, it takes you to the thread where we profiled the state. It's a neat concept (Lori first told me about it a long time ago!) :)

Click on each STATE to view the thread, and it will open in a separate window. (States with a dark brown * have not been profiled yet.)
Alabama Maryland Vermont Utah Texas Nevada Wash DC Tennessee Florida Minnesota New Mexico Georgia Louisiana Michigan South Dakota California South Carolina West Virginia Oregon Pennsylvania Wyoming Mississippi Missouri Indiana Virginia Colorado Idaho New Hampshire Hawaii Maine North Carolina Arizona Iowa Alaska Massachusetts Kansas Delaware Kentucky Oklahoma Connecticut New York Montana Washington North Dakota Illinois Arkansas Rhode Island Ohio Nebraska New Jersey Wisconsin
