Well, I CAN eat calamari - and LOVE it (especially at P.F. Changs!)

Trust me - it’s to die for. That is all I order when I get to go to P.F. Changs (maybe once a year)

The World Is Watching
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. —John 13:35

My friends were serving in a ministry that was directed mainly to Christians when an opportunity came for them to change jobs and touch the lives of thousands of nonbelievers. They decided to make what they believed to be an exciting change.

Many people, even some who didn’t personally know them, were shocked and accused them of seeking fame and fortune in the world. But believing that Jesus came “to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10), they decided to pursue what they considered an even greater opportunity to serve the “lost” in their community.

They said later, “Some Christians were so cruel to us, and wrote hateful e-mails. Our new non-Christian friends were kinder to us than our fellow Christians. We didn’t understand that, and were hurt deeply.” They told me that their desire was to follow God’s directive to be “salt” and “light” in the world (Matt. 5:13-14).

When someone we know is making a decision or change, it can be helpful to ask about his or her motives. But we can’t fully know another’s heart. We don’t want to “bite and devour” our fellow Christians (Gal. 5:15), but instead to love them in a way that others will know we are Jesus’ followers (John 13:35). The world is watching.

We join our hearts and hands together,
Faithful to the Lord’s command:
We hold each other to God’s standards—
All that truth and love demand. —D. De Haan

Only God sees the heart.

For Mother everywhere
(a day late, typical kid for you!)

My Mother

The wearied Saint, with her gentle wash day hands
with that soft smile of the gentlest love for me
I remember that smile, as I ventured on distant seas
or walked in the silences, of jungle littered lands

I remember her when my heart is torn sore
and the way she’d take time, to give a care
That oft unappreciated Angel in silver hair
who walks with me from my beginning evermore

Gone to better places, and better times now
I know she is there watching over me, as before
The gift of her love was mine, and so much more
and I am humbled by her love, her ageless Tao

Mothers are a gift to us when we need them most
to shape us, and teach us, and make us our best
They strengthen us, guide us in our life’s test
and to all I give thanks, and so proud to boast

good morning. Off to funeral. Does anyone else have difficulty the past few days with the MAIL being continuallyl on.. you open your past mail but the color change indicating new mail is still on? Not sure I am saying this well. Not the end of world for sure & not a major problem, just a minor annoyance

Hope all have a great day. Sunny & coolish here. Cavs play tonight.. Hoping to finish the series 4/0. Have a feeling Atlanta will be a bit tougher & all over LeBron.. which might be good as then the other players .. who are also excellent, can do their thing.

Hugs & Love to all
