and why is US government covering it up? Didn’t Carter say he will reveal all when he became president, so what happened with that?
Here’s the problem I have with UFO’s. You’d think that with the explosion of dash board cameras, personal camcorders, surveillance cameras spattered across the planet in the hundreds of thousands, not to mention high tech radar, (not to be confused with a cops radar gun) that at least one, just ONE image of ET would emerge.
People who believe that UFOs are spaceships from another planet don’t really understand how big the universe is.
Unidentified flying “objects” have been observed by many reliable observers, so they existed. What they were is another question.
Personally I don’t think ET crashed at Roswell in 1947. Evidence can easily be faked, but human nature stays the same. And the US government didn’t behave as though such an event had occurred.
"Are UFO's real?"
or
"Do you believe in UFO's?"
Think about the acronym - unidentified, flying, objects.
Of course there are flying objects that are never identified.
If I throw a 3" long 1/4" diameter 20 thread per inch hex bolt over the heads of 25 people how many could properly identify the object? Probably none unless they had first examined the object at rest. Even then probably only a few.
This is just an example. Obviously there may be many objects that move over our heads everyday that are never identified. That does not make them alien.
Dr. Ed Mitchell is a true hero, and his performance on Apollo 14 was magnificent. But he’s also quite nutty when it comes to paranormal claims, and with time and age he’s just gotten nuttier.

Crop circles are the work of the Good People, not of aliens.
Shhhh...
The U stands for unidentified. As long as it’s unidentified, it’s not from some alien planet.
UFO ping!
Being famous does not make you intelligent.
and then they will all fill out cards requesting union membership.
Edgar Mitchell is a close friend of mine and as the fates would have it we lived in Roswell at the same time but did not know each other. I saw the Roswell debris first hand and recognized its unique properties and all I can say is that it did not appear to be of human manufacture. I have over 3500 hrs in military helicopters but have not seen a genuine ufo. The closest was in Iraq when I was flying from Tikrit to LSA Anaconda in a Blackhawk when I and the crew spotted a white light at low altitude traveling towards Turkey. But it was just a light in the sky where there should not have been one so who knows. I am hopeful our government will fess up with what it knows about ufo’s as I think a lot of our fellow Freepers will be shocked. Ok to flame me, I have a thick skin. Regards!!
Yeah, people who believe in UFOs are so annoying. They just keep over-reacting to multiple self-controlled, moving, blinking, shape-shifting, gigantic disks moving about NASA spacecraft, when it’s obvious all of that is just “debris.”

One of my favorite Clinton stories was when he first entered the Oval office he asked for the “Elvis” file and the file on UFOs.
“General Douglas MacArthur, the Korean and Second World War soldier, said in 1955 that “the next war will be an interplanetary war. The nations of the earth must someday make a common front against attack by people from other planets. The politics of the future will be cosmic, or interplanetary”. “
Uhhhhh....
This is the best web article I’ve found on the 1947 Roswell incident. It is long, but well worth reading:

For anyone who hasn’t already seen it, I also recommend the classic Japanese film that dramatizes the theme of subjective perception:
