Thunderstorm Thoughts
The God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9
I laugh every time I hear the radio commercial that has a woman shouting to her friend in conversation. Shes trying to talk above the sounds of the thunderstorm in her own head. Ever since a storm damaged part of her home, thats all she hears because her insurance company isnt taking care of her claims.
Ive heard thunderstorms in my head, and maybe you have too. It happens when a tragedy occursto us, to someone close to us, or to someone we hear about in the news. Our minds become a tempest of what if questions. We focus on all the possible bad outcomes. Our fear, worry, and trust in God fluctuate as we wait, we pray, we grieve, and we wonder what the Lord will do.
Its natural for us to be fearful in a storm (literal or figurative). The disciples had Jesus right there in the boat with them, yet they were afraid (Matt. 8:23-27). He used the calming of the storm as a lesson to show them who He wasa powerful God who also cares for them.
We wish that Jesus would always calm the storms of our life as He calmed the storm for the disciples that day. But we can find moments of peace when were anchored to the truth that Hes in the boat with us and He cares.
Fierce drives the storm, but wind and waves
Within His hand are held,
And trusting His omnipotence
My fears are sweetly quelled. Brown
To realize the worth of the anchor, we need to feel the stress of the storm.

Day Planner
Each of us, is set upon the path
twixt eternal peace and wrath
And like a leaf upon the breeze
the wind of fate, you will seize
Life the test of faith, all hopes pins
and so He does list our wins and sins
In the book of life, the pages gold
to hold the record of all ages old
Each day a page, upon which to write
and He sees all with unerring sight
Take the path, as you know you should
wish not another chance, if you but could

Amen, Mr. Mayor! Beautiful words. He does calm us in His time and all we have to do is ask and be patient! Thank you, Mr. Mayor.

Just looking backwards (starting at #1751) for Sunday's opening, which I never like to miss.....
Laughed at the dog cleaning the monitor and the "clean" kitties - and that sweet-faced raccoon!
Meg, your Sunday opening and all your followup fields of flowers are sinmply STUNNING!
So many pretty flowers & birthday wishes to Majie and pretty poems on Sunday!

Glad you enjoyed seeing it...as I love sharing mine with you!
Hope you get the new one to survive your “guests”! My newest
bloom is so big and has turned from creamy yellow to nearly
all pink this morning.
My yellow King’s Ransome has three huge buds on it and they
are gorgeous!
Of course, my purple one suffered a horrible death of the first
bud yesterday...a mystery as to what happened. *sniff*

I had 2 of the Neptune....one is gone. *Sniff* you got it.... deer dining.
I hope since it's spring and things are growing they won't visit as often. I have my little plan to hopefully discourage. They are such beautiful animals though.
Your King's Ransome is such a lovely rose. I should look around for this one too!
