Charming pinic pavillion & look at all you gorgeous people!!!
Too bad we cant have one HUGE get-together with all FReepers!
Wouldn't that be a h00t!
To: AZamericonnie
Yes, it would, and we could call it a Convention! We all could “Freep around the Clock”...LOL! Get two or three Freepers together and the fun breaks out!
To: NellieMae
Don’t we all?

The social worker was here for about an hour. She was very young; probably about 25. She talked to MrJust and me alone and then talked to Marissa alone.
She answered our questions and left her card so we could contact her if we had any concerns or more questions. She told me that she had already run a criminal check on us and would be running a check with CPS. She will send us a copy of her recommendations about a week before the hearing. She does not see any reason for the hearing going against us. She will contact the “father” prior to filing her report to see if he has any objections to us being named guardians. She said when our case comes up, it would probably be over in about 5 minutes.
We sat at the dining room table. The only other room she went into was Marissa’s room.
Boy .... am I glad that is over. I really worried for nothing. I think Marissa was worried about it last night. She couldn’t go to sleep. I rubbed her back and she relaxed and finally went to sleep about 10:00.

I am so glad that part is over for you, Amy, and especially for little Marissa. I always hate to see a child have to worry and how sweet of you rubbing her back until she fell asleep...thats love. She will always be with you Amy, I don't have any doubts about it.

To: JustAmy
I am so sorry you are having to go through this, but so happy to hear it all went so well. I really hate hearing that Marissa was worried.
Thanks for the update, Amy. I have been concerned too.

GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMYS PLACE!
The Soldiers Code
1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.
3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.
6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

i am so glad you came over and visited our thread. Come back often, we love having new people, Nellie Mae.
The reason I am writing so late is...I went to sleep in the Lazyboy and now am getting ready to go to bed. Goodnight, all.
To: JustAmy
Thank you Amy for your kindness.
A sweet place you have here.
To: JustAmy
Thank heavens this day is over and you and Marissa have some relief..May all obstacles be removed , all who would create trouble cease any thought of it and Marissa stay safe at home with you.
May God be with you and Mr Just..I just know she will be right there where she belongs. I hate Marissa has to worry.
