Kitty Mittens, you said it so much better that I could have. Thank you.
Dave, when I read that post of yours, I wept. And, then, I prayed for her family, and a joyous prayer for her. Thank you for sharing. It is an inspiring testimony.
When my son died, one of my best friends called me. She said that when she heard that he had died, the tears just poured out - but, then, she saw a picture in her mind. She said it was like a video.
It was a vision of Christ, holding out his arms to enclose my son...................and as He embraced my little child, He said, “Welcome HOME, Ricky, Welcome HOME.”
She said she no longer cried tears of sadness, but tears of joy.
Thank you.

Those girls were really good, weren't they? Hadn't thought of "King's" firecrackers until you mentioned it. Glad you enjoyed it, dear Kitty!

Check Your Attitude
He must increase, but I must decrease. John 3:30
A music professor with a well-trained voice usually sang the major male solo parts in the choir of a large church. A young man named Bob who had no training sometimes took a few shorter solos. As the choir director prepared for the Christmas cantata, she felt that Bobs voice and style made him a natural for the lead role. However, she didnt know how she could give it to him without offending the older man.
Her anxiety was unnecessary. The professor had the same thoughts as she did, and he told her that Bob should take the part. He continued to sing faithfully in the chorus and was a source of much encouragement to Bob.
People who can set aside selfish ambition and genuinely seek the good of others have an attitude that pleases God. Do you remember how John the Baptist reacted when the crowds left him and began following Jesus? He said, He must increase, but I must decrease (John 3:30).
What did John the Baptist and the music professor have in common? They were able to set aside selfish ambition. They were happy to see others elevated above themselves when it was for the common good. Can the same be said about us?
This is the highest learning,
The hardest and the best
From self to keep still turning
And honor all the rest. MacDonald

I talk to him when I'm lonesome like;
And I'm sure he understands.
When he looks at me so attentively,
And gently licks my hands;
Then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes,
But I never say naught thereat.
For the good Lord knows I can buy more clothes,
But never a friend like that.

Amy, thank you for finding such a sweet poem to go with the graphic. I was having such a hard time finding something that fit!

Thank you Amy, for the heart-warming opening!Happy Tea Party Wednesday to everyone!
FNC will have reporters all over the country
Interviewing protesters and filming the protests.
To: Billie

Thank you, Billie.
I liked both poems that you sent but
nothing seemed to fit the graphic perfectly.
I was looking for Dalmation poems.
I finally started looking for dog poems.
I liked this poem but it doesn't fit either.
Thank you for the lovely Opening Graphic.
It is so pretty .... the dog, the flowers, the blue bench.
It is just PRETTY!
To: Diver Dave
Hi, Dave, I'm sorry I missed you yesterday when you came by. You're already mowing the lawn this year! We normally have to have ours done sometime in March, but this year it's still not ready. Not enough rain and it's so windy it's practically useless to turn the sprinklers on because more water goes in the road than the grass. However, I am getting the flowers planted in the courtyard, which is more protected, so at least that's looking pretty and green and colorful. :)
Bet you enjoyed having Studley - guess the three dogs get along well - but bet you'll enjoying seeing his 'parents' even more this evening when they get home!

A lady in our church passed way last week from cancer. Her funeral was held this morning, but last week as her family was gathered around her, she told them, It looks like Im gonna spend Easter in Heaven. Got a little choked up reading that, what a powerful testamony indeed.
To: MEG33
Oh Meg, I'm so sorry to hear your daughter is having such pain and fever after dental surgery, and will pray that she gets some relief very soon. I now that it is very hard for you, too. :(
Your lavender post is just beautiful, and thank you for the compliment on my opener yesterday.
Thinking of you and your daughter today and sending a prayer up.
