The judges aren't really discussing Scott's fate. Kara and Paula are both doing the frat girl dance. Randy's talking to someone in the audience.

Scott doesn't help his case very much, hitting the same blood-curdling flat notes as before.

Seacrest: [to Simon] Last week you didn't even consider using the save. Why?

Simon: Because I didn't care. She [Megan] didn't care, so why should we?

Seacrest asks the judges what they think about Scott.

Simon: To be honest, there are two of us that want him to stay and two of us that want him to go. The judges huddle--it's clear that Kara and Paula that want him to stay ...

Simon: [to Scott] This is really tough. I really, really like you. But [there are more talented singers in the competition] Somebody's got to make a decision and I have to say this the end of the competition for you.

After Scott's "Home Sweet Home" montage, Seacrest goes to Paula for the last word.

Paula: On behalf of the other judges you have been an inspiration to the entire world. You realized a dream that seemed near impossible. You are one classy gentleman. God bless you. We love you.

Uh, Scott is a boring, schmaltzy, sudsy singer. No control of his vocals and I don’t see him selling many records. Adam, on the other hand, can sing and has real commercial potential.

I just finally saw it on the Internetz. It was good (especially in comparison to the rest of the night last night) but it was not original. It’s Gary Jules’ version of the Tears for Fears song. I first heard it on the soundtrack to Donnie Darko, a movie from 2001. (A really good movie.)
