.
I always missed it before. It was really something else.
Simon killed me, too. “I want to remind people you are one of the best singers.”
Um...shouldn’t THE PERFORMANCE remind us of that???
Lil’Obama
Her attitude is reminiscent of Fantasia.
You could hear a pin drop when she did.
Indeed.
She pretty well sucks every week and they drool all over her.
Kara is going to be insufferable as this season goes on. She co-wrote the second single off Kelly Clarkson's #1 album. The single officially goes to radio on April 14, but it's already entered the Top 40 chart. If the song is as successful as many reviewers predict, I think Kara will be more annoying than ever.
Adam is up next-he’s supposed to be singing Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson...I just can’t feature Adam singing Smokey’s song...should be interesting.
IM waiting for the tell tale head swerve with lips pursed.......as she gazes at the judges, the night she is booted off the island.
"Oh George, do we have to suffer that gay lad again"?
After all of these years... I've finally remembered who Paula reminds me of when she's all punchy drunk.
The big sister in Sixteen Candles who takes a whole fist full of muscle relaxants. It must be the entire bolt of tule that Paula's wearing. I keep expecting her to blow her bangs up and swat at imaginary things in the air.
Exactly.
sheesh,, I missed the Obama reference..what did she say? I heard Paula say she could run for president.
LOL!
lol - that is great. the best post of the night.
It’s a style of singing you can hear on any R&B station. She might have power but she has no control of her voice. Singing lessons for 6 months might help.
Yes!!! ROTFL!!
“Love the teapot!”
When are they going to realize that she’s not all that??? Sorry Idol, you DO NOT have a big, power singer this year, where in other years you had at least one, sometimes more.
Enough with this “you’re so great” “can sing the phone book” crap, it’s wishful thinking, she’s not what you HOPED her to be. You picked out a bunch of mediocre singers this year.
Big Mounds if she had to compete against a Mandisa, a McPhee, etc. she would be a total afterthough, but this is who THEY chose to be their big, power singer and she can’t pull it off and she has an attitude to boot.
Smokey: She can sing the phonebook!
Tender music now as Lil reflects on "how far we've come". It's never said, but it's implied that she's talking about black women that succeeded in Motown. "I'm doing this for Martha and Aretha and Diana and"
Oh shut-up! Just sing the damn song.
Lil appears on stage, wearing a wig shaped like Darth Vader's helmet.
She screams her way through "Heatwave" And I mean SCREAMS it.
Randy: You got mad, crazy vocals. But the front to the song was weak. I felt like you were rusing through the whole song. It was not the best performance.
Kara: You look great, you really do. You were the diva tonight that everyone was waiting to hear. This was your week. If you don't nail this week then I don't know ... We need more from you. You were SCREAMING at certain points.
Paula: I disagree. It's what you do vocally that feels fresh. Like hearing it for the first time. You own that song.
Simon: I wouldn't have chosen that song. I agree with Randy. It was too fast. If you had chose "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" you could have had a moment. I'm dying for you to do what you did a few weeks ago. You can't do it with a song like that.
Paula or Kara says she could run for president.
Uh-oh ... don't do it. Don't do it.
Lil: Obama!
Ugh.
There's a muted audience reaction to the Kenyan's name.
He just said that to remind people to vote for her so they don’t have to use their save too early...because I think they will use it to save her.
