Robert Gibbs: [on the phone] I have no idea where he would have gotten ahold of German pornography. But you and I are mature adults; we've both seen our share of pornographic materials. Oh, you never have? Of course you haven't, how stupid of me. Neither have I. I was just speaking in generalities. Right. I'll stop by the school a little later, Sister Margaret. Bye. LOL!! That actually sounds like something Gibbs would say.

I wonder if Adam's absolute refusal to tone down the worst aspects of his shtick, as well as the **cough** heavy pimping for him by the judges, is a push-back against regular folks like those who defeated Prop. 8, and have blocked gay marriage almost everywhere in the country. I believe it's that and the whole "alternative lifestyle" thing he represents.

My personal opinion is that it is more about his very dark image. Vampires are all the rage with teen girls because of the whole Twilight phenomenon. That's a very good point. I hadn't considered that.

President Obama Feels Like He Is On American Idol
http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/blog/2009/03/21/president-obama-feels-like-he-is-on-american-idol/
President Barack Obama made a visit this week to The Tonight Show. In his conversation with Jay Leno, he admitted that being in the White House feels like he is appearing on the reality TV show American Idol.
He said, I do think in Washington it is a little bit like American Idol. Except everyone is like Simon Cowell.
This is Barak Obamas second time of making history this year. He is not only the first ever African American President, but he is also the first ever President to appear on a late night talk show.
President Obama may be feeling more like Simon Cowell than a contestant on American Idol at the moment though. During his conversation with Jay Leno he made a comment that is getting backlash similar to what Simon Cowell receives on a weekly basis.
When asked by Jay Leno if he had used President Bushs White House bowling alley, he said he had tried but got an embarrassingly low score, saying, It was like Special Olympics or something.
The comment sent White House press chiefs into a panic and they issued an immediate statement saying the President had not intended to put down disabled athletes.
President Obama later personally rang Tim Shriver, the chairman of the Special Olympics, to apologize.
President Obama definately isnt Simon Cowell. Unlike the King of cruelty, Simon Cowell on American Idol, President Obama apoligizes when he sticks his foot in his mouth!
Maybe it wouldn’t feel like American Idol if he would quit prempting American Idol. Is he trying to sibliminally get kids to associate him with American Idol?

REMINDER:
American Idol won't be seen tonight. President Soetero's approval numbers are sinking fast, so his TelePrompTer suggested he address [lie to] the nation again.
But Idol will return on Wednesday night with a two hour show celebrating Motown. Results show will follow on Thursday night at 9 EST.

To: I'm ALL Right!
Ehh...I think she got the boot (and they didnt save her) b/c of the big AI is Rigged article this week. She was in the top 4 named, and she was the most expendable. My thoughts as well, and I am quite angry about it. She was my favorite.

BTW, I went to the TP in Orlando Saturday. Great day, great crowd..met some nice Florida Freepers...

Thanks for always doing the thread!
Hopefully late tomorrow evening I can post a sort of “real life perspective” on how the performers came across because tomorrow I get to go to the performance show taping!!
Last year I did that after I got home but it was just the dress rehearsal - this time I get to go to the real thing!
It won’t be until late tomorrow or very early Thursday because of the timing of the taping and distance, etc. But I know last year I was struck by how different some of them were in “real life” versus on the show, etc.
Thanks to all of you who post each week for those of us on the west coast to read long before we ever get to see the show!

The Huffington Post correspondent's chair is right behind me, and I don't like having my back to him. LMAO!!!
Someone just sent me this one: Postcards from Yo Momma
It's not political, but it is hysterical!
Backstory: My mom was a kindergarten teacher in a bad part of town.
Mom: It was a rough neighborhood. The kind of place where the men would come to the playground and let their snakes out of their bags.
Me: Ew! Mom thats so gross.
Mom: I know. I hate snakes.
Me: Wait, that was a euphemism for something right?
Mom: No! They had real snakes! We had to go check the playground before recess to make sure they werent slithering around by the swings or anything.

That is weird that she wouldn’t do it live. Is she working on a project or otherwise busy that night or something?
