Yep. Something died. This show actually having talented people! RIP...IDOL.

Minor TIVO warning: the show runs over a minute or so, but it's just the "Home Sweet Home" goodbye video for Alexis.
Reminder: Idol will not be on next Tuesday. The Teleprompter wants Obama to say something that night.
But Idol will return on Wednesday "celebrating 50 years of Motown". Results show on Thursday.

You pretty much nailed it.
No one ever went broke underestimating American tastes.
I hope something good comes from this for Alexis.
Like I said, she didn’t connect with the song. She didn’t seem to understand what her relationship with “Jolene” was, and so it didn’t make it into the singing.
