I noticed that every single bottle was empty. That was a lot of empty bottles!

None of the bottles had that far to fall, so I’m not surprised they weren’t broken.

Reminds me of an incident which happened in the house where I roomed in college. Center hall stairwell had a shelf along one side of the stairs where we had stacked beer cans for months, probably numbering in the thousands. One embarrassed female brought them all down in a dash out of an upstairs bedroom and down the stairs to escape the cheering coming from we few seated on the stairs.
